Coffee and food are good but overpriced. Great looking restaurant but the owner is obnoxiously rude. Had the unfortunate experience of watching the owner berate his staff while we were there. On another day, the owner told me and my friend to move to a smaller table, which was annoying because there were many other open tables around us that were the same size. It was also weird because the owner was just eating and drinking beer with his friends at a giant table next to mine. It seems like he doesn’t care much about respecting customers and running a business. He just wants a cool place to hang out with his friends. I used to love this place, and I came here often, but the owner makes it a terrible experience. Now I need to find a new place to go. Don’t recommend it unless you want to overpay for food and a rude show from the owner if he’s there.

Stopped by on a Saturday for lunch and enjoyed sitting outside on the patio with our dog. We ordered a panini sandwich and the eggplant sandwich. The eggplant sandwich had so much salt on it that we could not eat it. We were hoping to be impressed but will not return.

When I realize what this amazing new community café is doing for our town it brings tears to my eyes! FIRST, the food is excellent, thanks to a fabulous Sicilian Pizza Oven, innovative dishes incorporating healthy greens, and hearty panini sandwiches. AND, The wines are very good, and everyone says the selection of beers is the absolute best, although I am not much of a beer person. THEN, there is live music in the evenings often now, usually on Thursday and or Friday. Since Marin County is such a hotbed of musical talent, you never know who you might stumble onto. ANDMOSTIMPORTANTLY, Café Verde has become a place where the community gathers, to just be together. Since the Café is attached to Town Park Plaza, which is public space, you can come enjoy the plaza even if you don’t want to buy food or drink at the café. It feels like a new heart of our community, and it is growing, and I couldn’t more highly recommend it as a place to experience and enjoy!

Pretty good fare and decent coffee. Gluten free options. Music is either alt rock or super cheesy latin rock. Free wireless and it’s pretty good to work. Cute patio for lattes, lots of lunching ladies and guys, dogs, kids. Family atmosphere by day, bar flies gather at night and it turns into a Corte Madera wine bar scene. Locals love it.

Lovely service from the gentleman behind the counter, the woman at the bar and even the bus boy. Free live jazz to couple with refreshing food. Worth it.

Stopped in tonite looking for some hot and satisfying food. No table service. Order with cashier. Fellow took umbrage when I inquired about table service and he had to admit he was the only one available. Not an impressive start. Couldn’t read menu on wall cuz of insufficient lighting. He handed me a menu. Ordered the clay pot risotto with chicken and peppers and found a table WAAAY on the other side of the restaurant away from where there was a very large party of real noisy adults and kids. Noise level somewhat more tolerable on other side. Seems warm enough, so I remove coat. Turns out I’m sitting next to the clear vinyl windows and it’s drafty, so I put my coat back on again. Dish arrives. Lots of rice with some roasted peppers and a couple of skimpy pieces of chicken. Clay pot cooking? Dish was just slammed in oven with no cover and was just this side of being dried out. I was hungry and had no other option at that time since I was due at a meeting. No one came over to ask me how my food was. Probably done on purpose cuz they probably get a lot of complaints. Expensive and so not impressed. No ambience. Unfriendly staff. Just plain tacky. Won’t be going back there nor recommending it to friends/family.

I have eaten here three times now and each time I have been more disappointed than the last. I do business nearby and was hoping this cute little café would be a good place to get some work done. Unfortunately the staff is just rude beyond what I can ignore. I tried to ask a simple question about one of their coffee beverages and the cashier(large hispanic man) was purposely ignoring me. His answer to my question was«for here or to go.» at first I thought he didn’t hear my question, but he repeated the same answer 3 times making it obvious that he didn’t want to be bothered. I walked out without ordering and will definitely never return. The food i have eaten here is the Margarita pizza –for $ 12.00 plus tax you’re better off getting Digorno(no joke) Pastries are maybe purchased from Costco or some sort of wholesaler. Stale and nothing special Veggie panini was bland and dry. Overall nothing special here. The set up outside is super cute so maybe you can get better food and customer service from the gas station next door and then bring it over here to eat it. Otherwise, not missing out on much here.

Café Verde is such a perfect spot: whether you’ve just dropped your kids off from school and need a jolt of caffeine to start your day, are looking for a place to work(they have wifi) that makes better coffee and food than you can get from your home office, or you want to meet friends for a light dinner and drinks while your kiddos run around and play on the patio… it’s our family’s version of «Cheers» where everyone knows your name and you’re likely to run into a friend or ten!

I liked the décor of this place. So cute. It’s right next to a park and has indoor and outdoor seating. The food was great! I got a breakfast wrap even though it wasn’t breakfast time(I’m a rebel).I loved everything in it! The register smelled good. like some sort of baked coffee good.yummmm. Made me wanna get dessert too! But no, no. I can’t do that to myself! I didn’t like how my wrap had grill marks like it was pressed in the panini maker. I was expecting a regular wrap and that’s what I thought I ordered! If I wanted a panini, I would have ordered a panini! It was a lot of food. they cover it with arugula. Love arugula so it was a nice touch. I got up to halfway and I felt full! I forced myself to eat the other half though. it was delicious and also I hate wasting food. Next time I would take it to go!

I LOVE that you can sit outside here and have a drink and a little bite to eat on a beautiful. I’m not over in this area often but when I come here to walk my dog, I love that I can sit outside with him. Fun spot, to make a quick stop, while on a walk. Coffee, sodas, paninis, salads… Check it out! Ok that pretty much sums it up.

We’ve been coming here since this opened. Decent food, prices high, but ok… until today. Stopped in after my daughters piano class as we have for years and ordered her pizza and my salad and was surprised to get a total of $ 28 without drinks??? They raised the prices of pizza by $ 4 – 5 and salad??? Stupid, just lost a loyal customer. I’ll spend $ 30 on pizza and a salad in SF, but in the middle of a busy street in Corte Madera? #notdesparate #mediocrepizza

I tried Café Verde for the first time tonight and I am absolutely a fan! We ordered about 6:15pm and there was no line. The cashier was extremely friendly and helpful, and the prices were good for Marin County– $ 9ish dollars depending on the meal, which is to be expected here. My veggie pesto wrap was so delicious, filling, and fresh. Everyone else loved their meals as well. The wait for our food was definitely less than 10 minutes and I will 100% be back soon!

Exactly what you expect it to be. Great little café in seemingly-suburbia but really nice in the mornings on a business day. I worked from the shop until about 1(when things got loud and there were kids running around) but it’s an excellent open-air eating and working area. Super friendly staff, lots of laptop campers but a good place to get some work done and get a good coffee and a quick bite. All of the food looked amazing.

I keep driving past this café on my way to and from the gym. It’s situated right next to the Corte Madera Park, and I always see folks sitting outside nursing their lattes. After my workout this morning, I decided to forgo my usual Peet’s pit-stop and get an espresso at Café Verde. So glad I did! It’s a really charming coffee shop. Friendly colors and artwork on the walls. Tantalizing baked goods and pastries at the counter. Happy employees working the cashier. I ordered up a double espresso and a chocolate chip cookie. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they serve Illy Coffee from Italy(one of the best brews for the buck, in my opinion). I noticed a number of tempting salad and sandwich options on the menu(everything from a Kale Caesar to hearty paninis and wraps). It all looked tasty and healthy. I certainly need to come back soon for lunch and sit outside with all the soccer moms and dads. A friend also told me that they serve beer and wine, so it might be a cool place to go for happy hour on a nice, sunny evening. A glass of vino, some light bites, and a gorgeous view of Mt. Tam — what’s not to like? Café Verde — I think we’re going to become good friends.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the Bay area to read and relax in all day. Since leaving Calgary I have yet to find a place as great for hanging out at all day as Café Rosso — please message me if you have suggestions. I love a café where you can stay for 5 – 6 hours, read, sip drinks, have lunch, play cards, meet friends, and not be rushed. For the most part good coffee places in the Bay Area are rush rush rush. Not here. Here you could stay all day. It was never too busy. They get my coveted and rarely given 5 star rating for the following: — Stay-all-day kind of place — Illy Coffee Served — as much as I love Blue Bottle and local roasts, nothing beats Illy coffee from Italy. They have it here and I love it so so so much. — Great food — the sandwiches are really good for the area. No not the best in the bay, but for a coffee shop excellent. — Excellent staff — I have had long talks with the manager and he is such a cool guy. He is down to earth; talking frank on what they are and where they want to be, and took the time to recommend great places to eat in the east bay. — Excellent Belgian Beers — nothing better after a day at Stinson Beach. Cold beer at a good price and a patio!

I really like café Verde. It’s at a great location between the Town of Larspur and Corte Madera. The location is perfectly located next to a park on a long street with no other coffee shops. I had my doubts at first but now I’m a believer and fan. Verde stays open till 9 p.m. which is later than neighboring coffee shops plus they serve wine, beer and have a great salad menu.

It was my first visit to this location. It’s been on my list of places I’d like to try for a while so I was looking forward to it. The location was clean with nice décor and parking was easy. I wasn’t impressed with the food selection though. The salad I orders was listed as having shredded Parmesan cheese over it. What I got was salad with Kraft Parmesan Cheese poured over it. I didn’t want to pay $ 14+ for Kraft cheese. I went to the location thinking of Café Verde as a café, a type of restaurant. Had I gone with the expectation of this place as a coffee shop with some food options and soccer on the TV, I would have had much a better experience. Plus I would have had a full meal before I went as my Kraft salad was an expensive side salad and not a meal. I may return for coffee and soccer, but that would be it.
