I met Dr. Ruebbelke at Marin Spine and Sports after being referred by our school’s PE teacher, who is a serious cross-fit athlete and receives ART treatments when ever he’s pushed himself too hard in the gym. I, however, am a middle-aged elementary school teacher, and injured my low back falling off some rocks at the beach. Not only was my back extremely sore, but my right leg was numb and painful due to the enflamed nerves in my back. I’m dealing with 5 and 6-year-olds all day, and a teacher in pain = a cranky teacher, so I was desperate for relief. I had been to many doctors regarding my back, but I just wasn’t getting better fast enough. However, I really felt like I was in good hands with Dr. Drew. After 3 — 4 visits, I started noticing a big improvement in my pain levels. After 6 visits, my leg started to feel like the numbness was going away. After 10 visits, I’m 100% pain free. The great thing about Dr. Drew is that he spends time with me, talking about my pain levels, explaining what he’s going to treat each time, and then setting a course of action — like exercises I can do to strengthen my core, but not stress my back. I am SO grateful I listened to Coach Evan and got on board with Dr. Drew Ruebbelke at Marin Spine and Sports. He REALLY made a difference for me!
