This is such a charming store. Another reviewer wrote something hilarious about it being ‘waspy’ (which is pretty true). I love it because I am kinda waspy myself but have no kids — so I get to come in here and pick out the perfect prep-​in-​training gift for my friends. It’s a no-​brainer, too. There is ALWAYS something perfect here. It’s sort of like the icing on the cake when you have to go to one of those god awful baby shower parties. You buy them the obligatory boring stuff on their registry and then you come here to get them the cutest thing on the planet. Just because.
I’ll be heading in here today for this very reason.

Perfect store to get a unique and special baby gift. The salesperson was really helpful and put the baby gift in a beautiful gift box, with ribbon and gift card. When I have to get another baby gift, I’ll definitely go Janie and Jack at The Village.

It’s overpriced and super WASPY. It’s a perfect place for a bloated pregnant mom-​to-​be to wander about, fantasizing about the baby. I envision him being perfectly mute and clean, resplendent in his adorable snow owl appliqué onesie.
Everything in this store is genuinely precious. You other chumps can buy Winnie the Pooh and Disney Princess jumpers till your c-​section scabs fade– I’ll be at Janie and Jack buying $ 50 sweaters with penguins on them!
