I went to Dr. Kinds after suffering severe anxiety attacks that were preventing my from working or even functioning. As a Psychiatrist she should know the pain and fear I had with this, and how scary it was. She told me at each of our 4 appointments we would discuss medication«the next time». She knew I didn’t have medical insurance and at $ 300 per session I couldn’t afford to not wait for help. I finally had to stop going, and went through two more months of this before going to a doctor a friend recommended. I was not looking for anything like xanax or ativan, I needed to function. The next doctor put me on Gabapentin and suggested I take it before bed. I woke up the next day with 50% less anxiety, then the following day I was back to normal. It was a chemical imbalance that was all. Dr. Kinds just wants money from people, she is a terrible Psychiatrist and unethical in helping patients. I didn’t want to go back in 2008, but family suggested I do. In 1999 she put me on Effexor and then said when I didn’t like the side effects she said to just stop taking it. After being dizzy I asked the pharmacist at Walgreens and she said you cannot just stop, you need to ween off and that it is very dangerous to just stop. When I called her she said she didn’t know that. C’mon lady! Dr. Judith Kinds needs to go back to school, she is out of the loop on how medications work, and the best current ideas on treating anxiety and depression. I am happy to report that I am still on the Gabapentin and three years later I have not had any anxiety attacks, or anything beyond normal healthy anxiety. I went to Dr. Kinds in pain and needed help, and she bilked me out of $ 1,200 cash. AVOIDTHISWOMAN. There is real help out there but she is not capable of giving it.

She is the BEST! Very warm, caring and not afraid to give you the advice you need(and may not want to hear). Not the«how does that make you feel» kind of therapist. It’s like talking to you best friend, only with A LOT better advice. Highly recommended!
