I just received a shipment from the on-line store and the product(barn kitchen island and pair of stools) is far below expectations and the service from the company is really crummy. I gave them a totally unwarranted star. This is truly an ugly piece of furniture that will be an eyesore for years. It is excessively expensive for what it is and the stools and island do not match which is weird and really does not work when put together. Someone has a real taste problem at the factory. Avoid anything to be delivered. I was shocked at how little service I got. There wasn’t really anything to assemble that warranted the extra service charge. What a gyp!!! And, of course, when you need to talk to customer service, I can assure you that no one is available. AVOIDTHISSTORE.

I purchased 3 sets of dinner wear last July and recently I have noticed them growing mold!!! I have sent photos to Margie Rosewater Customer Service Manager, at Napa Style and was told that I would be reimbursed or that the dishes would be replaced. This was in September. To date I have had no luck with Margie Rosewater keeping her word. If I am so lucky as to have her answer the phone she tells me she will call me write back and that it is being taken care of. Of course she does not call me back and it has not been taken care of. I am so disappointed! I used to love there products. Now I just have a bad taste in my mouth and smell mold every time I hear the name Napa Style. They definitely do not know the meaning of customer service and at the least need a new manager for this department.

HI there, My long Napa roots pulled me into this store. I wanted to take a little of Napa home to my Marin County digs. The store is a bit unenthusiastic. It’s doesn’t hold the same cache that Napa holds. Its blend of neouvo Italian works and neuovo Napa pieces lie flat and uninteresting. I wouldn’t say it was Napa style. It was what one might think Napa would be like if you visited a styled wine store located in Disneyland. The store needed to have a little rearranging and fung shu action. It worked for the mall, why not his store. The room felt empty, dark and unwelcoming. The featured items such as his favorite salt collection should be up front, right near the entrance.(Call me I’ll help you out, worked in the industry for year). All the cool stuff around the parimeter of the room giving the space a look but don’t touch place to be. Old Napa style is hands on, shabby chic, friendly and welcoming, everyone involved place to be. Not the stylized semi-homemade look of this store. The salts were cool but the olive oil not so cool. The unwelcoming, hard to open trash can didn’t open easily and empty cups littered the faux broken marble countertop.

The store is dark. The walls have ‘quotes’ from Michael that are meant to evoke his point of view/lifestyle but instead come off as a marketing ploy and not much more. He’s a decent Italian chef for god’s sake, not Ghandi. The selection is disappointing and unremarkable compared to the catalog and very over-priced. The sales people are friendly enough but seem bored. They ask to help(too much), and hover over you pointing out things about whatever you are looking at. I’m guessing they are desperate for a sale and hope to convince you of the uniqueness, quality, taste, etc. I’ve been here 3 times to give it a chance in the hopes they needed time to hit their stride. But not going back again – 3 strikes, they’re out!

I never even heard of Napa Style until I went to the shopping center yesterday. This place is like a smaller version of Sur La Table, which is ironic since they are right next to each other in the center. I found a great and I do mean GREAT truffle salt. I also found a roasted garlic rub. And prosciutto jerky. Everything is a bit pricey, but some of the stuff is totally worth it. Like the truffle salt.

I was excited to finally visit this store after receiving the catalog for the last several years. Their print catalog and website are really amazing. Tons of vintage looking furniture, napa style décor and basically an all around flea market feel that shows all kinds of love for the wino’s and foodies. LOVE it! Though the staff was gracious and welcoming when I walked in, I made my rounds in the store and headed right back on out the front door. The quality and variety in the store, is a BIG let down(not nearly as fun looking as the catalog). And it’s(in my opinion) way overpriced. They didn’t even have a large selection of decanters. Isn’t this a store with the name«Napa» in the title??? Random. You can find a much better variety of their food products(rubs, salts, oils, etc.) at your local Whole Foods or specialty food store(think Market Hall) and for furniture that’s distressed wood and antique feeling — hit the flea market or an antique store… a much better bet.

This store is a bit of of a let down truthfully, after watching Napa Style on the Boob tube, spending countless hours fantasizing over the merch on the AMAZING looking online catalog, this store doesn’t really have a knack for merchandising. The product was just ‘there’. On the one hand, I was glad to see it in person so to speak, I give tasting the salts(especially the truffle salt) five stars ! That alone couldn’t deliver the whole store into the five star range. If you aren’t concerned with any of the«retail insider stuff», ie. visual merchandising, store display, product placement, then you may not be put off at all. Overall, the experience is good, the staff is friendly, the inventory is very nice. Will I return? Of course!
