I have been a customer of H2O Watersportz for a couple of years. I am not a tourist that is a one-time visitor. I am a resident of Manatee County and try to frequent our small businesses to support them in these tough economical times. However, I will not be going back to H2O. We had one of their boats reserved for Saturday, August 4th for a full day, however, on Friday, August 3rd there was a sudden death in our family and we were traumatized. I called to cancel our reservation but was told that I had to give them 48 hour notice. As I explained the situation I was told that they have to run a business and that I would be charged for the entire day’s rental fee. I feel like some consideration should have been given to our situation. I understand that they have to protect their business but was it a wise business decision? No… because they lost our business now for life. A lot more than a one day rental.
