Non-existent customer service. Nobody picks up the phone. No email replies. Ordered an item over three weeks ago. Still has not arrived. Sad, I like supporting smaller businesses like this instead of larger ones like musiciansfriend, sweetwater, etc. but sometimes it’s just better to order from a known/respected company that you know will get you your item quickly and will have immediate customer service available if need be. Do not order from this dump.

Jacksmusicstore.Com offers the lowest prices and FREE shipping on strings that I have found online but be ready to wait for them to arrive. The day after I placed my order I received an email from them that said… «Free shipping on sets of strings: USPS only; tracking may not be available. Allow up to 10 business days for delivery. Order status not available until after 10 business days.» This may not be acceptable for some people but if you want a great deal on strings, free shipping and don’t mind waiting a few weeks for them to arrive, Jacksmusicstore.Com is the best deal around.

Like Leah, I also ordered something online on June 23rd(a set of Martin nylon ball end strings) and I just today(July 15th) got the shipping notification. I also chose the free shipping. I didn’t follow up because I had forgotten that I placed the order thinking I was going nuts, but today low and behold is e-mail from PayPal that it was shipping. Beware, free means that in some cases it will take almost a month to ship your item.

Really poor customer service. Every person I talked to on the phone was unhelpful, curt and short with me. Four days after I ordered, it still had not shipped and I had received no tracking information. After calling and asking for a tracking number I simply received an e-mail stating an expected delivery date. Called back in three days later asking for a tracking number and I was told the order still hadn’t been processed. I received a tracking number finally later that day — the day the package arrived. Never again will I order from this company. UPDATE: 3÷12÷13 After a lengthy return process on a purchased item which broke within hours of first using it(not by operator error), I was refunded only $ 60 on a $ 160 dollar purchase. I received free shipping to my house, and I was told I would have to pay return shipping for a refund, to which I agreed. Upon receiving only a $ 60 refund, I called back to find out why. The customer service representative, Ray, who I’ve talked to numerous times about this, told me that according to their return policy, I would pay shipping both ways, even though I received free shipping initially. I asked how a ~20lb package would cost $ 50 to ship each way and he became defensive. I have been polite with Ray up until now, even though he has deflected my questions and generally been rude and discourteous to me through this whole process. During this last phone call, he began to interrupt me and raise his voice, which escalated me to a point of using one profane word. He immediately hung up the phone and when I called back to apologize he hung up again. I called one more time and he began punching keys on the keypad saying, «oops, sorry!» and I could hear him snickering in the background. I can only imagine he is trying to abuse the Jack’s Music Store policy that«reserves the right to refuse service for abusive behavior.» Immediately following the phone call he sent an e-mail update saying that the call was«terminated by Ray due to abusive and vulgar language.» Granted, I was upset(and rightly so) and handled the situation unprofessionally, but they have handled this whole process much more unprofessionally. I have sent several e-mails to the company trying to iron this out and have heard nothing back.

I ordered something from them online on January 24th, and chose to get free shipping. They said it would arrive between February 1 – 6(1 — 1.5 weeks later). Kind of long for any kind of shipping, but I took a risk and hoped that it would get there earlier, because that’s always the case with other online stores. I sent them an email a week after ordering, and it said they’d been running behind in the warehouse, and I should expect it in the next week. A week after that(2 weeks after ordering) I get an email from PayPal saying my item had just shipped. REALLY? 2WEEKS to send a package? And then who knows how long it’ll take to get here after that. I’m really upset with their quality of service. If I would have known it was going to be this bad, I would have bought the same item from amazon for $ 10 more if it could get here in a timely matter. I really needed this item a week ago at the latest. So dissatisfied.
