Went here for a small date day with my hubby! This little local ice cream diner was nothing short of cute! It had all of the old light up signs, ice cream bar set up, and candies and malt making machines. The flavors were original and flavorful. Plus the man working behind the counter was knowledgeable and sweet. Wouldn’t mind frequenting this little ice cream joint a few more times in my life time. The worst part is I will literally be working right next to this little ice cream parlor making it that much easier for me to access it’s worthy ice cream indulgent flavors.

It is fantastic. I have a favorite and it is hard to switch for me because it is about as good as it gets, but kids like about everything.

Found this place on TripAdvisor and it did not disappoint. Lovely little town and great ice cream. Inexpensive and family friendly. Well worth getting off the highway for!!!

One word! Phenomenal! I really regret not getting the guys name that we talked with. He was so hospitable, he made us feel a part of the family as soon as we stepped in the door. He talked to us and interacted so well with our 5 yo son. I asked him if there was anything he couple recommend as we had never been in there before. He says«Whats your favorite flavor of ice cream» I told him it was chocolate. He immediately begins to make this concoction up that has chocolate ice cream, syrup, cookies, whipped cream, and who knows what else. ITWASDELICIOUS! He said the name of it was«He wasn’t worth it.» Ha! It had the most delicious biscottie chocolate in there. Whew. I think I need another. There is also candy in there so its like a little ice cream shop/candy store. Of course I had to get a bag of salt water taffy while there as well. We will definitely be back. Not just because of the ice cream, but because of the exceptional customer service skills.

Emery’s Ice Cream is the sort of place that people think about when they fantasize about living in a small town. Premium hand-made products are served up by friendly, welcoming staff in a comfortable, welcoming environment. The ice cream is delicious and offered in a variety of flavors. You can get everything from not-so-run-of-the-mill Chocolate Ice Cream to fancy schmancy Pink Champagne Sherbet. There are seasonal offerings like Pumpkin Pie and Peppermint Stick Ice Cream. There are even Sugar-Free flavors available. And, they are all delicious, creamy, and served up generously.

We took a short trip to Corydon and found this ice cream parlor on a travel site. So glad we stopped! It’s a great, old fashioned ice cream parlor with very friendly staff. We sampled all kinds of treats. The only problem is choosing just one thing. Ok, we actually chose 6 things. They have a great selection of homemade ice creams, shakes, malts, floats, sundaes, and sodas. They also offer Italian toppings and an endless variety of combinations. They came up with customized sundaes when we told them the types of treats we liked. They also have a great selection of candies and salt water taffy. Yum!!! We will definitely stop again when we are in the area!

Great ice cream! And they also have a full menu of shakes, malts, sundaes, etc. They also have a full selection of candy, and soda in old school glass bottles. Great service. This is a must place in the area!

What a fun little hidden away place! You wouldn’t know from looking at the house-like exterior that you’re walking into such a neat little ice cream/candy shop! Let me share some interesting things with you about Emery’s: 1. They have one of the coolest websites I’ve seen in a long time! 2. They don’t have a phone at the actual business! The number listed here, I believe, belongs to the owner. He wanted to keep the shop as close to the original shop as possible and the original shop had no phone. 3. They have saltwater taffy, old-style gum(Yum Clove!!), and candy cigarettes! 4. They don’t charge by the scoop! All of their cones are sky-high and you’re simply charged by the item you choose(i.e. cone, sundae, dish, etc.) What’s great about this is that you can mix up flavors! I mixed up a peanut butter cup ice cream with a banana pudding ice cream and it was divine! 5. They don’t have regular hours because sometimes business is slower than other times. This is unfortunate, especially since you can’t call ahead and find out, but it seems to work in a sleepy sort of town, like Corydon. 6. The ice cream is home-made and transported by the owner from people he has making it to the store. Several of the flavors change weekly! So there’s always a nice variety but if you find a flavor you like, you may also be disappointed to find its no longer there the next week or maybe even the next day! Overall, I loved the retro décor, the old coke freezer, the inviting front porch, the original counter and soda fountain from the original Emery’s, very friendly employees, and loved the candy selection! Looking forward to my next visit their way!
