Cos Cob Inn

We tried to get information about the rooms here and accessibility and the woman who answered the intercom was not only rude but didn’t explain where to go to talk with her in person. Telling someone you’re across the street when there are multiple businesses across the street is NOT helpful. Our family has been in this town for over 70 years and we expected the Cos Cob Inn to feel local but instead our experience get more like trying to get customer service at Microsoft. Completely disappointed.

Very comfortable room at an affordable price. The linens are very nice quality and pretty. Nice touches like bottled water each day in the (hidden) mini fridge. Coffee maker and biscotti too if you need an afternoon cup. A very nice continental breakfast is included. We are up on the 3^rd floor. Walk up so if you can’t do stairs stay on a lower floor! The toiletries are very nice, spa like products, and the towels fresh. It is close to Rt 95 doc expect to hear a bit of distant traffic sounds. Did not keep us up.

One of the nicest B&Bs in which I’ve ever stayed. I was in town for a friend’s wedding and was sharing the bridal suite with another person.
The bed was super comfortable and the AC was a blessing considering the relative humidity outside. The bathroom had both a shower and a big jacuzzi tub. The shower was absolute heaven (once I figured out which knobs did what).
There were two small downsides. There wasn’t really a good place to put luggage (we used the sun/​sitting room) and there wasn’t a whole lot of option when it came to hanging clothes up. Other than that I don’t think there is anything they could have done to make this a more enjoyable experience than it already was.
Traffic on the street can be a little iffy because people tend to drive fast down it, but as long as you are careful pulling out of the driveway you’ll be fine.

I’ll add to Vanessa’s review that it was a zero hassle stay. The Inn has an arrangement with the Water Club across the street for key pick up etc, and has an arrangement with the club to expand their facilities.
Bless their hearts for setting the air conditioning right (for those of us unaccustomed to humidity). As many of the wedding guests were staying at the Inn, it was nice to have access to the main social room as well, for the post-​game show.
Excellent inn, I can highly recommend to anyone.
