My friend ordered a hamburger for lunch at 12:30…the waitress came back and informed us that the truck that had not been there yet so none of the sandwiches were available… how do you not have buns to serve lunch… there at least 5 people working… why not send somebody down the street to the grocery to a bag or 2 of buns to get thru lunch… she changed her order to a salad and a bowl of soup delivered in these absurdly large bowls that barely fit on the table… I got the $ 13 club sandwich… food was okay, nothing special… our bill for a mediocre lunch was $ 31 plus a tip… they don’t take credit or debit cards… when is the last time you had to pay cash at a restaurant… especially one with such high prices… too cheap to pay swipe fees or hiding revenues… décor is very outdated… total rip-off all the way around…

We only get to this area once a year to see family. My brother wanted to treat the family to a nice dinner. He chose The Railroad Station Saloon as remembered my husband saying he really liked grouper. Well, that was what my husband ordered. It was old. He has eaten a lot of seafood in his time, and I am sure he would be able to tell if it was good or not. The meal in itself wasn’t anything that a person would be able to brag about. The food was substandard. Then you have the prices. Again, for the price of the meal you would have expected something a little more elaborate. Believe me, we have eaten at many excellent restaurants and had fantastic food and service for half the price that we paid there. We will not eat there again, and I will make sure I will warn anyone that I know NOTTOBOTHER.

Everything about this restaurant is top notch! This is the first place my husband and I stop when we come into town. We have eaten here about 30 plus times and each time was delicious! The ribs are great… not your traditional bbq… they are baked with a very flavorful seasoning. You get sauce on the side but I recommend skipping it! The prime rib is so tender and the chef does a great job getting the right temperature! They have this fabulous warm bacon and vinegar salad dressing that is to die for. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Maggie… the bartender/manager is great. she is very friendly and on top of anything you need! It’s a bit pricey but well worth it!!!

The Railroad Restaurant & Saloon is a great place to enjoy a meal. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful. It’s like getting admission to a very exclusive private club. The bacon wrapped scallops are superb. So are the steaks, ribs, chicken and king crab legs. Shrimp cocktail… As good as the Diamond Grill. One thing. They are not open for lunch on Saturday. If you happen to be anywhere Coshocton it’s worth the trip to experience a world-class restaurant. First class all the way. Two more things: lobster bisque is only available on Friday and Saturday and you might want to call ahead for reservations on the weekend.

We heard about this restaurant from a friend. We visited with another couple and were extremely pleased with the service, price and taste of our meals. My wife and I had the Seafood Linguini and our friends had the Pork Chop and the Roasted Chicken meals. We were all very pleased with the quality of the meals. Our server was very pleasant and talked with us about the unique design of the restaurants bar as we left. They made us all feel welcome. Prices were very comparable to other restaurants of similar quality. Be forewarned that they only accept cash and checks. However I am told there is a ATM outside now.
