I’ve been here a few times before this review, and it’s always a good time. With it’s casual and laid-back environment, this is a great place for a weekday hangout. Sandwiches are consistent. Beer and wine. Get the savignon blanc. Beach wear welcome.

Amazing experience! Immediately felt comfortable upon walking in thanks to their beach bar décor. These sandwiches are one of a kind and a must-eat for everybody in the area. They also have a big beer selection and fantastic, fun service!

We had the Haole cheese steak and one with chicken and Frank’s hott sauce. The Frank’s chicken was definitely our favorite but both were so delicious. The staff was super friendly and we got our order fast! Definitely will be coming back!

Talk about an awesome place to go for lunch and a cold beer! My boyfriend knows the guy who started this chain back up in NorCal and we were surprised to see they made it down to SoCal, we didn’t know. But this place is as cool as the one up North. Their cute little bar is very festive with bikinis hanging from the roof and TV playing the game. We like sitting out on their patio best when it’s a warm day! I absolutely love their pulled pork sandwich with pineapple! And if you aren’t a pineapple fan, substitute it with avocado! You won’t be disappointed! They even serve your food on Frisbees which is such a cute touch. LOVE this place!

I guess I did not enjoy it so much because I ordered vegetarian items at a deli place. They were not bad — I ordered the Monterey and California sandwiches(without sprouts) and they were both the exact same thing, except one had a slab of cream cheese and the other had jack cheese. You need to flavor them yourself(hot sauce for the win)! Ambiance is cool although parking might be a challenge during peak hours. They have a few choices of beers as well, which go great with the sandwiches!

If the thought of cream cheese and avocado on a deli sandwich makes your heart sing, then Beach Hut is for sure the spot for you. Personally, not my thing… more of a sharp prov and broccoli rabe kind of girl. Aside from the occasional tryst with the meatball parm, I stick with salads here. Super salad is my typical go to, which is romaine, edamame, quinoa, avocado, feta, tomato, red onion, corn, for a buck add chicken with a tasty lemon garlic dressing served on the side. This is consistently fresh and decent, nothing special. I get the Mesa salad(romaine, chicken, bacon, blue cheese, jack cheese, avocado, tomato, hot sauce) if I’m really hungry. Also pretty good. My man loves this place. He is loyal to the sunburn, which is grilled chicken with Monterey Jack cheese, bacon, hot sauce, and ranch dressing. He also digs that we can sit at a surfboard table with our own TV to watch any game that tickles our fancy. Pretty nifty for a deli. They have a respectable roster of beers and an entertaining crew of semi-regulars that come in to drink them. The young women who work the registers are all absolutely adorable and sweet and proclaim, «Yum!» every time I order anything. I guess people need validation? Regardless, quite cute. This is the place we come when we can’t decide what to eat and can’t think of anything better. Not bad, but not a ringing endorsement either.

Beach Hut deli is one of my go-to lunch spots. The staff is really friendly and the sandwiches don’t ever disappoint!(Except for the one time I asked for one of their sandwiches without meat, and I still got bacon.) I’ve had the California Veggie on several occasions, and their Dawn Patrol breakfast sandwich(sans-meat). Usually I order a «Large» size and I can fill up on half the sandwich and save the other half for later. The regular size is just enough for one meal. Bottom line — if you’re looking for a quality sandwich packed with fresh toppings, give Beach Hut a shot! Giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish they had more veggie sandwich options on their menu.

Every sandwich I have had had been super fresh. They have other stuff like beer and appetizers but it’s all about the sandwiches. The Malibu sandwich with either turkey or pastrami is da bomb!!!

The wakie bakie w/no meat is my favorite. I come here as often as I can. The best healthy filling sandwich you could ask for.

I will never be back ever again!!! Last month I went to this location because it’s closer to my home(I usually go to the Mission Viejo). I got an order of the bbq chicken salad to go, approx. 15 mins later I’m home eating my meal. I bite into the chicken and it taste a bit odd. Two hours later full blown food poisoning. I called the store manager and she was kind enough to offer me a refund. I missed a whole day of work and didn’t have the PTO. A dang 11 dollar salad cost me a full days salary. Long story short, I almost didn’t even return for my refund, I’m terrified. Beware!!! The manager told me she tossed the food, makes me wonder however, how long do you store your unused food?

This place is sooo good! Last week a few of my friends and I ordered sandwiches for lunch to go and we were hooked! We ended up putting in another order for 6 more sandwiches that night for dinner. I originally tried the Malibu(pastrami, swiss & avocado), and it was phenomenal. I’m known to eat like a bird and not finish my food, but I devoured it! Today I went back for lunch to go again and ordered the Pig Kahuna(pulled pork, bbq, cheddar, pineapple — hold the Tabasco). It did not disappoint! Jenna helped me out — she was super personable and friendly, and seemed like she genuinely enjoys her job. Great service and I’ll definitely be back!

Always stoked with every sandwich I’ve gotten here. A personal favorite is the surfin bird, with copious amounts of cream cheese, crisp bacon, and fresh avocados; you can’t wrong. They have a rad craft beer selection, not to mention the happiest hour(probably in the world). The rap handles are constantly rotated, and whoever makes the selection always does a great job! Moral of the story: if you don’t enjoy big delicious sandwiches and tasty craft beer, you just might not be human. Otherwise, definitely pay them a visit.

This place is alright. I came here a couple weeks ago and tried the Malibu, a warm pastrami sandwich with avocado(no mayonnaise). My bf had the simple ham and cheese sandwich with avocado. My sandwich was pretty good! The ham sandwich was mediocre and pretty forgettable. I thought the price was kinda high for what you got. This would probably be a good place to come for happy hour and watch the game. Each booth had its own tv so that’s cool. It seems like every sandwich is heavy on the cream cheese or mayonnaise! What’s up with that!

Surfin’ around town for lunch, I came upon Beach Hut Deli. Gave it a try and walked inside. I noticed how popular it was right away, since a line started forming. I scoped the menu on the wall and looked for something delicious and filling since I was super starving… Inside décor definitely has the surfer vibe. I noticed also the complete details of straw around the room, hence the beach hut feel… soooo Loved it! Staff was welcoming and very helpful with suggestions. Since it was my first time, the gal behind the counter asked if I liked pastrami or if something hearty but not hefty. which I replied«Yes, please that sounds perfecto» She recommended trying out the Malibu — Hot pastrami with Avocado, melted Swiss cheese and toasted golden. WOW it tasted amazing as it sounds. A+ for innovation and grubbin’ :-) I devoured the whole thing and it was truly satisfying. Perks: Sandwiches are hefty and filling for the $$. This location has a bar area and outdoor patio. TV’s surround the dining area. Menu has a variety of sandwiches and salads, which is inviting to try more. Online ordering and Catering available. Downsides: Inside dining area seems small, and the sandwiches are a bit pricey. Awesome TIP: If you are a movie buff and love Fast Times at Ridgemont High, there is the Spicolli sandwich to check out… KNOW before you GO: This location is on a busy corner of Irvine and 17th St, and the parking here is troublesome due to the popularity of it being a lunch/dinnertime mini mall. Be patient for a spot to open. OverALL: Tasty waves ahead. perhaps some serious grindage. I will be back for more. Worth a try for a lunch break!

Surfs up dude! How adorable is this place?! This isn’t your regular sandwich shop. Forgive me, but I was so shocked at the outstanding quality and flavors, I totally didn’t expect that! I was blown away with their quality and portions, and mostly impressed with their amazing staff who were the most friendly, charming, and good ol gracious OC boys! A great choice!!!
