Costa Mesa Self Storage

People rarely answer the phone when you call the office. You have to leave a message then they call you back, but if you cant pick up its phone tag all day. They don’t have an automated bill paying feature that you can use to pay your bill on the phone. So by the time you connect with a human, if its late, then they charge. you a $ 25 late fee. If the office person is out showing a space, cant they forward the call to a celll phone? Even when I show up. in person I rarely see anyone in there. The door is locked during office hours.
Another bad thing is the price. Super rip off for what you get. They don’t even have a garbage pail or a convenient rest room. I switched to Magellan down the block… at least they have more amenities and some one always answers the phone when I need to call and pay my bill. The only good thing they have is large carts to transport your stuff on.

Searched and visited many storage facilities, and went with Costa Mesa Self Storage. Was the best value in town, clean, secure, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I have been very happy with my experience so far and would recommend it to anyone looking for a storage facility in the area.

I just rented a storage unit from Costa Mesa Self Storage today. I reserved it online a few days ago and went in to get the paperwork done today. The online reservation system was a breeze to use, and I got a very prompt response to some questions I had. They have a truck available for use to move your stuff to the storage facility and there are carts available to move your stuff from your car/​truck to your storage unit. This is about the cleanest storage facility I have ever seen. The customer service was excellent. Cathie remembered me when I introduced myself and was very helpful and personable. Some of their moving supplies are among the least expensive I have seen (their mattress bags, for example). Of course, I can’t comment on anything about actually being moved in, but my first impression and the customer service I received were excellent. I rented this storage unit to help organize a move and I don’t intend to keep it long, but it is going to make my life a lot simpler for the next several weeks.
