Hold on! I’m adding a bunch of stars and casting my first review completely aside! After my first attempt at a massage, I received an email from the owner explaining in detail what had occurred. I truly believe it was an unfortunate fluke that happened and is not indicative of how they normally run their business. One of the massage therapists, Rose, called me and apologized on behalf of Escape Here. I believed her to be sincere so I made a new appointment with her(I later found out the day and time I scheduled was her day off but she came in anyway just to make me a happy customer). They have several separate rooms at Escape Here and each room is serenely decorated, tho nothing fancy. The massage table I got on was warm — I think it may have been heated. Nice relaxing music was playing throughout the massage and the lights were dimmed low. Rose gave me an absolutely perfect one-hour massage. Her touch and technique was fantastic. And her breath was fresh; anyone who has had a massage from someone with halitosis knows this is important! Rose also used good draping technique which is important in keeping the client comfortable. What I liked most about the massage — she spent time on my hands. Most massage therapists I have had in the past seem to gloss over the hands. What I liked least — no massage of the facial muscles. But I personally would prefer more time on my hands than my face so it wasn’t a big deal to me. Escape Here is a good place to check out for a good, affordable massage. I can testify that Rose is a great massage therapist and can comfortably recommend her. I’d give Escape Here 4.5 stars.
