Let me just start by saying I love the way Jessica did my hair! She is very professional! Had a great consultation and she understood exactly what I wanted. Loving my hair color and cut!

Jessica can definitely make your hair look amazing! She’s been doing hair for about 9 years and you can see it in her quality of work. Salon Rouge is a cute little location tucked away in a small shopping center in Newport beach. *Warning: there are two other salons in the strip mall so make sure you walk into the right one, unlike what I did as a first timer.* She greeted me upon arrival and made sure that I was going to get the service that I needed and hair that I’ve been dreaming of by asking me specific questions on what it was that I wanted to do with my hair. She was completely honest with me about how my outcome would turn out, and from there I let her take the wheel!
I ultimately wanted to go from a gold blonde to a more ashy blonde. After about an hour an half of mimosas and sitting under the dryer I became an ashier blonde! It has now been about a week and a half and the tone is sticking and color is still vibrant. All in all the service was a bit on the pricer side, yet I am a satisfied customer and will be back for more.

I had to write a review because I always have to review whether it was a great experience or a horrible one. I have been working with Jessica in the salon for a few years now and have been eyeing every client walk out with hair envy! I finally got a spot in her schedule and she pampered me like a client not a coworker. She really took the time to listen and ask detailed questions to make sure we were on the same page. I have never loved my hair so much! Even better is that once she started doing my hair, we got to really talk and she had me laughing the whole time. She’s super sweet and funny and it was overall the best experience I have ever had.

Jessica is wonderful! She did my cut and color (ombré) and it came out beautiful! I love it, and she is also very reasonable with price !!

Jessica is an awesome hairstylist. She is so creative, friendly, and positive. She knows exactly what she is doing. Being able to trust you hairstylist is a must in my eyes. i always feel confident while sitting in her chair :) She is so talented in coloring. She has colored my hair blonde, brown, black, and red :) Jessica is great at every color and she is a firm believer in maintaining healthy locks :) If you are looking for a stylist in the Orange COUNTY AREA JESSICA SHANNON is your girl :)

Jessica really knows color. She is amazing and gives awsome blowouts. I feel lucky I found her.

1.) Asked for natural looking highlights and I got chunky– and i specifically said i didn’t want chunky! I’d hate to think what her version of chunky highlights is…
2.) I asked for a caramel color highlight that would match some previous highlights I had received, and instead –I got ORANGE.
3.) I asked to come in to tame the color down a bit and the girl never got back to me until 4 days later.
Unprofessional — And, not getting back to a client until 4 days later is not exactly how you keep clients or how to get a good review. I had to go to Toni & Guy the following day to make sure my hair was color corrected before work on Monday. It was a bad experience overall. Would definitely never recommend the salon.

All I can say is Jessica is a color specialist. She’s been doing my hair for almost a year and my hair is so pretty after each visit. The first time I went I to her she gave me ombré. I loved it and got so many compliments. Recently she gave me all over highlights and once again I love it. Jessica is so much fun and I look forward to getting my hair done.
I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing colorist.

Jessica knows her hair! She has done mine 3 times now and eveytime it comes out fantastic. It’s cool that she comes up with ideas before you come in for your appointment. I change my haircut and color often so very refreshing! Thanks Jessica! Keep up the great work!

Jessica has been doing my hair for a few years now and I love it every time! We lost touch for a bit and I started going to other hairdressers, but I was rarely happy… I’m so glad I found her again! She’s always funny and cheerful too… it makes the 2 hours of sitting in the chair fly right by! :)

Jessica does a fantastic job! Goes the extra mile to make sure you get what you want & makes every effort to guide you into new and different territory of hair color and style should that be where you want to go! She’s also very flexible with timing, and accommodates her clients in every way possible– very reasonably priced also!

I have been going to Jessica Shannon for almost a year. She is the best always happy and willing to please. She does the best hair and for a reasonable price I go to her every 6 weeks and she even reminds me it time. She works late all I can say she is the best ever.
