I order prepped meals from here every week! I was expecting the food to be bland because it’s «healthy» but most of the meals they offer are very delicious! I mainly started ordering because of the convenience of not having to cook lunch for work everyday, but it is also an added bonus that I am eating healthy. The price is not too bad considering you are getting a variety of meals. If I tried to make all of these meals at home for the week not only would I be spending a whole day cooking, but I would have tons of groceries to buy. If you sign up for their emails they send coupons often and the staff have been very friendly as well!

Today was my first visit to My Fit Foods and I was so impressed! As soon as I walked in I was sweetly greeted by two girls, I think their names were masa and Carla. They walked me through the whole process and introduced me to their nutrition coach as well. I wanted to try a meal before buying days worth, so I tried the lean lemon turkey and loved it! It was fresh and tasty and so I ended up picking up a few days of food including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everyone there was very helpful! Will definitely come back as soon as a run out of food!

My fiancée doesn’t have a Unilocal profile so I am posting this on her behalf: I decided to give My Fit Foods a try, after getting a bit burned out from my own meal prepping. I pre-ordered a weeks worth of lunch and dinners, to be picked up Monday afternoon. My cousin, with my same last name, had also ordered food and during my pre-order in store, the employee helping me mixed up our orders and handed me the wrong receipt. She assured me I had been properly charged, which turned out to be true. One point for MFF. When it came time for me to pick up my order it was nowhere to be found. It was completely inefficient and time consuming to spend 30 mins in store picking out new items and waiting for staff to assemble my order. I was nothing but patient. I left there feeling a little turned off by the place. Now Tuesday rolled around and I finally got home from work to eat my Salmon Cake dinner. Immediately after eating the salmon cakes I started feeling stomach cramps, and was sick with food poisoning for the next 3 days. It was awful and I decided to call and ask for a refund of all the fish that I had purchased. They were very gracious and offered me a full refund or different food items. I opted for a refund because the thought of eating their food again made me cringe. I went into the location to return their fish items and get my money back, and that turned into another ordeal. They don’t do refunds in store, it has to go through their IT dept? Yet another hoop to jump through at MFF. I left the store with the promise of an email confirmation of my refund. However, about an hour later my cousin was called by MFF and they were asking for my number, which they had lost. They did send me an email, but it was not a confirmation about a refund, it was asking for my cc info. I called the store back only to have one of their staff, Carla, tell me that she would be emailing my cc info to their IT dept. I hope that I don’t get some hacker grabbing my info from the net, since I don’t think their systems are very secure. Their entire operation needs to be reevaluated, their staff needs to be re-trained and overall they need to be more efficient. Needless to say I will never be returning. Their food was not good enough to overlook this debacle.

Masa(sp?) was awesome! We walked in and she immediately greeted us and as soon as she was done ringing someone up she came and told my boyfriend and I all about their set up. The food looks amazing and it’s a good price for the fresh food(which is made on sight in their kitchens!) it’s all gluten free and portioned. She was so sweet and kept giving us more and more needed information. We will definitely come back even though we’re a little far away coming from Anaheim! It’s worth it!

I decided to try the 21 day challenge and I can say my overall experience with My Fit foods has been very positive. For starters I worked with a nutritional coach who was really very nice and very helpful. We met and she asked me a lot of questions about my lifestyle regrading exercise, food likes and dislikes and other questions about my eating habits. this process was very helpful in planning my diet for the 21 day challenge. The next step is to get a menu which includes times and meals to eat. I really liked this process as it made following the diet and following the progress very easy. It also let’s you try things and modify your diet as you decide which items you really like and which items are not for you. It also helps if you have a business lunch or plans with a friend and know you can’t eat the meal that day. It gives you the flexibility to work around the schedule. I finished the 21 day challenge and found the diet to be effective. When I first started the diet I was hungry all the time, but as my body adjusted to eating less that went away. The morale of the story is, I eat too much, like most people. I also learned how to eat better and was exposed to a lot of nice eating ideas. I will continue with My Fit foods as the 21 day challenge is over and I lost the weight I was looking to lose. I think the process is good and would encourage anyone to try this challenge. There were some meals I did not care for, but I feel that is part of the process and there was never any issue when you told them you did not like something. They just subbed is out for a different item that met your needs. I have seen comments that the food is expensive. I think if you consider the nutritional coaching you get, the fact that the food is fresh and not frozen and you don’t have to go home and prepare a meal every night after work or breakfast and lunch the next morning I think it’s actually reasonable.

I got about 6 meals here for lunch and dinner for 4 days. They were all different but I have to say, I only enjoyed a few. Most of the meals were bland and just not my kind of flavor. I sucked it up and tried to eat what I could but I usually ended up with left overs to throw out. And I got the small sizes too. My favorite dish was the salmon with quinoa. Name had the word omega in it but I forgot the rest. That meal was actually pretty good and filling. Eating these for a few days really helped kick start my diet and monitoring what I eat but it was so expensive and the food was pretty bland and contained certain ingredients I didn’t care for that the price isn’t justifiable to eat too often.(Run on sentence I know) Anyways at least it helped me be more self conscious of my eating habits but taste isn’t there but the price definitely is.

I am VERY happy with My Fit Foods. Some people complain its expensive, but I actually save money with them! I was introduced to MFF through my bootcamp. I tried a couple meals and ended up rushing in for some more! Their meals range from $ 6-$ 12. I only bought Lunch & Dinner items enough for 5 days because I make my own breakfast. I spent a little less than $ 100. I opted out on snacks as well because I can easily prep my own for cheaper. I normally spend about $ 10 – 15 eating fast food everyday(each meal) that are loaded in calories, sugar, and preservatives & I wouldve spent over $ 120 for 5 days. Taste wise some items are very flavorful and some are a little bland but not terrible. I have tried… Garlic Herbs & Chicken — Good chicken. I normally hate tomatoes but they tasted great! Turkey Pasta — Flavorful & filling. Chili Mac — A little bland but filling. I added a little sea salt to amp up flavor. Chicken Parm — Was good. Chicken pieces are a bit big. Had to sit there cutting it apart. I also like their containers. Reusable! Service was great. Employees were eager to explain to me the services they provide and information about their food. Very clean. Two thumbs up!

On the positive side, their customer service was good. Regarding their food, I was absolutely SHOCKED at how much sodium was in each meal. You’re better off eating lean cuisines and it’s cheaper, too!

Delicious and Nutritious; Pricey. If you are craving healthy tasty food to grab and go, this is your place. They have freshly prepared breakfasts, lunches and dinners and you pop them in the micro for 2 mins or less and it truly tastes yummy. I highly recommend it if you find you are too busy to make yourself a healthy meal or are trying to count calories.

I was in Costa Mesa yesterday for work and stumbled upon this place and from the outside I couldn’t tell if it was a market or a restaurant so I had to go inside to investigate. Turns out its kind of both! As a person who does meal prep every week and manages macros and portions, I cannot say enough how happy I am to have found this place! All kinds of fabulous food already cooked, properly portioned and labeled with all of the macros. I just died and went to heaven! The prices are a little high for some dishes but the portions and overall quality so far seem to be quite good, so it is worth it. I’ve had 3 different dishes so far and all have been very good. The turkey chili so far is my favorite with the Fit Nuggets coming in a close second! I cant wait to start stocking up each week and taking a break from all my cooking and prepping! I just hope they start opening up more locations!

While I do love the concept of a grocery like store filled with meals for busy people on the go, different sizes, meal times and for all taste buds and diet concerns. Prices are ok, I think a bit high, but what I did try was pretty good. Not stellar, but for sure better than the frozen ones you buy at a real grocery store. Service is excellent, store very clean and nicely spread out, glad they are doing well and expanding all over OC and LA.

What a better place for me? Healthy foods, prepped and ready? For someone who loves healthier foods when it tastes good and is available, and for constantly being busy, it was meant to be. We first found out about it and decided to check it out when my husband found an Entertainment coupon for it and looked it up on Unilocal. They have different varieties of options ranging from snacks, parfaits, breakfast, chicken, beef, salads, and much more. Most come in two sizes, a lunch portion and a dinner portion. They are color labeled accordingly. They even have a pamphlet which will show various products and their portion sizes. There are microwaves and seating if you want to eat it then and there. We usually get ours to go and bring them into work for lunch. So far, unfortunately, I have not been impressed by any of the choices I have had so far. The almond chicken had no flavor, and the lemon ground turkey was a bit too spicy for me, which is pretty much most things. I cannot handle spicy foods well. It is a favorite though so try it out for yourself. It was better than the almond chicken, I just thought I would attempt the spice.(Spicy foods are marked with a pepper so you know). I tried the kombuchi bbq chicken today. I thought for sure bbq would be a strong flavor. Nope. No flavor again. So far my favorite part of these dishes are the mashed potatoes. Some of them have gouda in them. The big plus on the kombuchi bbq chicken meal is that it is only 90 calories for the entire lunch portion meal. Another con is every time I heat it, even 15 seconds longer than what they tell you, it is hot, and gets cold in like a minute or two. I recommend quite a bit longer for heating times. Despite that, I will give it a few more tries. I know there are a lot of yummy healthy foods. I have had many. My husband has enjoyed his meals, and I know there has to be some I really like because I’m not that picky. There are many options so I will give more a shot. The berry chicken salad I wanted was out this last visit so I will hope to find it next time. There are many I would like to try but they are marked with that spicy pepper, such as some of the tacos. So, it will be a tossup on whether or not I want to attempt it anyways. They are on the pricy side. Parfaits are about $ 3 and are not big. Most meals range at about $ 8 for lunch(and it is not a huge portion), and around $ 10-$ 13 for the dinner portion. Nice once in a while, but no luck on a lot of work lunches.

I am always looking for alternative meals to take to work for lunch or eat home for dinner and with my wife’s persistence that I should eat better(or smarter) that it was just a matter of time before I cleared this place from my bookmark list. My fit foods has a nice open setup inside with each refrigerated section clearly labeled as snacks, breakfast, lunch or dinner as well as an assortment of healthy teas, waters and drinks. My fit foods also has a small eating area complete with microwaves to eat your food selection on premises. All trays are marked with the price as well as whether it is a lunch(small) or dinner(large) sized portion. The price will vary from meal to meal based on ingredients. The meals are also labeled as if they are spicy, gluten free and several other specialties so you can clearly define each prior to purchase. During my first visit I went with the ninja tenderloin and it was quite good and portioned perfectly. The food had great flavor and is definitely a highly recommended choice by me for those who haven’t tried it. During my second visit I went with the southwestern chicken salad and the herb chicken with veggies. The salad was also quite good and had great flavor and is also something I would definitely get again. The service here is friendly but seems to be a bit hit or miss as far as helping out people who may not know how the process works. Our first visit we had excellent service and the girl working the counter explained each of the refrigerators and the various types of meals within each as well as talked about the cooking directions and other aspects of the business. Our most recent visit we saw nobody at all and were never greeted until it was time to pay, No can I help you or acknowledgment whatsoever which was a bit disappointing to see. You would be hard pressed to find another place that serves up healthy, low calorie food options like My Fit Foods and it’s for that reason that I will continue to come back here again and again for more items. The pricing may be a bit high on some dishes but the quality on all the dishes I have tried to this point have been fresh and well worth it. If you are looking for healthy foods that can be quickly heated up at work or in a pinch for dinner than check this place out and see what you think. They have several locations around so be on the lookout.

–Rant— One word: SALT As I scoured their selection of foods from the smallest to the largest of containers, I noticed two things very particular about the majority of the food: High GI Carb content and SALT… A LOTOFSALT … WTF… Now, when it comes to carb content, carbs are simply mandatory for anyone who does any type of high intensity workout(body building, HIIT in general, cyclists, or in my case, rock climbing), so with that I can deal with the carbs. What I just don’t get is the salt… the excessive amount of salt per meal. Some meals are upward of 500 mgs of salt per serving? When meal prepping at home, I make between 6 – 10 meals per prep and the total sodium content is at most 200 mgs… and that’s spread out over 6 – 10 meals. I realize that heart.org\AHA states as their guideline no more than 1500 mgs of salt per day, but why in the world would you want to ingest that much salt in the first place? So many foods have a natural amount of sodium that there’s no need to add additional sodium. If you feel like you’re «sodium deficient»(WTF, for real??), simply google«foods with natural sodium» and you’ll find a bunch of stuff; artichokes, pineapple, ALL seafood, etc. Your body may need sodium(it’s an electrolyte), but you certainly don’t need the excess amounts My Fit Foods dumps into their food. —Overall— Service: C+. If you ask why there’s so much salt in the food, they look at you like you’re crazy, then cite the AHA recommendation of 1500 mg per day… yeah that would work if you’re a SALTADDICT or have high blood pressure and need to reduce your sodium intake… Food: C-. TOOMUCHSALT… Atmosphere: B. It’s nice, pretty much what you’d expect for Costa Mesa 17th St.

About 1.5 years ago I decided I needed to make a change to be healthier and I started hitting the gym up hard and doing a lot of different workouts in order to get in shape. Fast forward and despite my workout routine being pretty consistent and working out 4−5x a week, I really needed to remind myself to eat healthier. I discovered MFF after driving around and saw the building, got curious, and Unilocaled it. I started with just buying a few of the foods for lunch a few days to see how the taste was and after I discovered it wasn’t terrible, I started the 21 day challenge. The best thing about this place is the convenience and the service. Kristina is the nutrition coach here and she’s really friendly and accommodating of your schedule. If you’re doing the challenge, they don’t pressure you into buying anything and adjust your schedule accordingly based off of what you tell them. I’ve taken a pause on mine with one week left just because I’m traveling for work right now and have been in and out of the area and can’t pickup my food on the consistent schedule they request you at. Yes the prices for the food here are higher than what you would be getting if you made it yourself– you really are paying for the convenience of having something pre-made for you which you can stick in the microwave for 2 minutes and eat right after. Yes, you definitely notice a difference if you’re consistent with the eating and follow the nutrition guide, especially if you haven’t been eating as well prior to that. Whenever you’re trying to lose weight, it’s true that 80% of it is diet and the other 20% is exercise. Yes you can definitely lose weight as well just eating healthier at home and for possibly cheaper. For me personally, I get bored of food really easily and after eating the menu(which is varied enough) day after day, I think this would be something I would do for a few weeks every six months or so. My personal favorites are the turkey pasta, lean lemon turkey, and the chicken parmesan along with the thai chicken lettuce wraps. Overall though if you keep your expectations of this place realistic, you won’t be disappointed.

I used to go to their West Hollywood location to pick up meals every once in a while, so I was happy to see a MFF opening in Costa Mesa. For those that don’t like meal prep and want to take the guessing game out of dieting, this place is a great resource. I went in yesterday and David was really helpful and explained all the different types of meals they have. I’m a flexible dieter and I try to count my macros as much as possible during the week. If you’re counting your macros or calories, they have all the nutritional information listed on each meal. Most of their meals range from $ 8 – 10 with a range of calories depending on what you’re looking for. I opted for a couple of steak and egg entrees for breakfast and got a bunch of their dinners as well. I think that will hold me over for the week. I used to think that it was overpriced because I was thinking about the alternatives. You can go to the grocery store and get some frozen dinners, but there’s usually not enough calories in one of those things to satisfy me. Or, you can go and order a chicken bowl from Flame Broiler for $ 7, but the chicken quality just isn’t on par with the white meat chicken in their dishes. I think considering the location and the quality of ingredients, the pricing seems fair, however, I do wish that they had some type of loyalty program where if you buy maybe 10 entrees you get 1 for free. Or maybe if you spend a certain amount every month, you get something else. Just something to add more value to buying meals. If you are tired of cooking endless meals at home and want to try a meal prep service, check them out!

Such a great concept. A lot of the time losing weight fails because people don’t have time to meal prep. This place is pretty legit. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks to choose from and you can stock up for the whole entire week. I love to go here when I want something a bit different then what I have already prepped for the week. Sometimes it’s nice to mix it up and this place has a ton of variety. Dina was very helpful when I was there. She explained the whole theory of it and told me about their online ordering. Which I think is pretty damn cool. Pick your meals for the week and they get it all set up and you just come by and pick it up. I wish that they could come up with a drive thru concept too haha.

I go here almost every day for lunch or a quick snack. Easy way to eat healthy without having to spend the time making it myself. Staff is friendly and helpful. Snacks are 4 – 6 $ while meals range from 6 – 12 $. Some of the juices such as Daily Greens are a bit pricey(6 – 7 $)…but considering you are getting 6 pounds of veggies in one drink. it’s not that bad. If I was to attempt making that drink at home I’d be spending way more than 7 $! also, the smell that emits from the second floor when they start cooking is amazing!

Walked in this place expecting something totally different. You have to microwave the food they sell. They basically sell expensive lean cuisines. Total joke and you gotta be an airhead to buy from there.

No thanks. This place is over-priced and the food is not good. I got a fiesta chicken bowl and the beans were not cooked all the way. I asked how ordering a meal works — I was shown the menu and told to pick what I wanted — and they might have it. I also had a coupon for a free meal up to $ 12 and the girl helping me seemed to only want to give me a medium size(around $ 9) because she had never seen a coupon that allowed a comped meal up to $ 12.
