Friendly staff, great food. Area to have your dog outside and have breakfast. Definitely a recommended spot for breakfast or lunch with your pup.

i like Panera, the soup specifically. this Unilocal is more about an employee. Rashaan. Panera is lucky to have this young man working for them. he was the most delightful person i have had the pleasure to interact with in a while. Keep up the good work Rashaan. and, Panera, give this guy a raise. :)

This is the worst panera ever. I found a nasty black hair in my disgusting sandwich. The workers were incompetent and unhelpful the entire time. We had to wait an incredibly long time for our food, and when I discovered the hair and brought it back to them(I was already home) the manager rudely shrugged it off like it was no big deal. I am appalled by this behavior and expected more from Panera.

Pretty good for a chain. Pretty popular and usually crowded when it is raining etc. meh not my think I like the local places but if I need some wi fi and a quick bite worth the visit.

I’ve always had great experiences here. The staff is very friendly and quick to help. Never had a problem with the food. It’s a little pricey, but worth it every now and again :)

It’s a chain as you all probably know. Never had a bad experiences, the food is pretty decent, a few times they have forgotten the love and the sandwiches are sort of falling apart. Can be a nice place to come and work although they limit the hours you can be on wifi during peak times of the day. Perhaps not surprisingly the bread is always fresh and delicious! I had the Mediterranean sandwich and Greek salad(half and half) for 9 dollars. Fine for an easy lunch, not sure if i would crave it. Nice bonus they label the coffee for the time that they actually make it, which is nice so you know how fresh it is.

Food is always delicious. Staff is very friendly. Especially Sean who went out of his way to make me feel at home when waiting for my wife to text me her order. LOL thanks Sean. Will continue to be a loyal customer.

The staff here are friendlier at this location than most that I’ve been to but I still find this place to be very overpriced when it comes to meals. They need to bring it all down $ 1/$ 2.

I am writing this as a kudo to one of the employees at this location. I come in once a week and anytime Clint is working it brightens my day. He’s taken the time to get to know my name and what I order. He always says hello and has a smile on his face. I hope Panera realizes what a great employee they have in Clint!

I went to the one in Newport Beach recently, grabbed breakfast for my mom & I. When I got in, customers were already complaining of the slow service. It was around 10& most of the employees went on break so they were short staffed. It got me mad that these customers were rude. It wasn’t the staff’s fault these customers decided to wake up late and too lazy to cook their own food.

Vegan soba noodle broth bowl with edamame and an apple on the side. It’s refreshing to see a chain restaurant take the time to make a creative vegan option. It’s also low fat and low cal. What’s not to love!

We’ve tried Shirley’s bagels because of the reviews, but we were not happy with their service and noticed after we got home that a few bagels were missing from our order. This week I asked my step son where he would like to go for bagels and he wanted to go back to Panera Bread. In our opinion as a family we like Panera Breads bagels. We purchased bagels at Shirley’s a few more times, but we all agree that Panera Breads makes a better Cinnamon crunch, chocolate chip and Asiago cheese bagel better. Panera breads mixes the ingredients into the bagel rather than sprinkling on top of the bagel and they don’t charge extra for the cinnamon crunch and Asiago cheese bagel, where as Shirley’s does. With my rewards card the dozen bagels came to $ 12.58. I paid $ 14.50 for the same order of bagels at Shirley’s.

This review is strictly regarding service i received from one of the girls on the floor. I didnt get her name, but it was around 12:45 on 12⁄30 and she was the only girl busing tables. i was brought the wrong sandwich and she quickly got on it for me and got me another very quickly. Then when i got up to refill my drink the other dude cleared my plate. I had half a sandwich and my bread left. I found her once again and she was very apologetic and got me another sandwich and bread to go. So, sure… a couple mistakes were made, but her attentiveness and attitude helped alleviate any displeasure i might have had. Thanks, anonymous girl.

Yay, I’m the 100th reviewer! Lol! Ahhh…nothing like a hot bowl of French Onion Soup to warm up the soul on this rainy Sunday :) Panera has always been my go to breakfast/lunch spot, especially since I didn’t want to wait too long for a sit down meal before my massage at Philosophy Wellness Spa. Plus, I like the quiet simplicity and free wifi that Panera has. I ordered the French Onion Soup — hearty with onions and gooey cheese with generous croutons. Along with half frontega chicken panini. Wholesome and delicious with my free reward of a large cup of Acai/Hibiscus ice tea. Naomi — the shift manager was a sweet gal, who took my order and brought over my food. Nice, friendly attentive staff. Off to a great start on my last day here in Costa Mesa weekend, woohoo!

*still in shock* You @!#$‘n served me CHICKEN. After I friggin went over — -breathe Ni. *clears throat* The minute I got to the register I said: Hi! What do you have on your menu that’s VEGAN? Answer: Veg soup and the Mediterranean Veggie with NOCHEESE. Niambi M.: Sounds good to me! In comes the sandwich flatbread + Veggie soup Niambi M.(producing receipt): is this the Mediterranean Veggie with NO feta? Server: after looking at sandwich and receipt(shouting over to prep area) Hey Alex [genius sandwich maker extraordinaire] – there’s no feta on Mediterranean Veggie, right? Alex [Mensa Member]: No feta! Niambi(who’s name means ‘full of faith’) M: takes a healthy bite and immediately feels something is texturally ‘off’ *opens sandwich* Literally spits out the contents of her mouth into the nearest napkin. Co-workers stop mid-sentence and look on in horror. *heat begins to rise around Niambi M.‘s ears* Your friendly Neighborhood Greedy Vegan took a seat and the V on my chest LITUP! What in the entire universe of all that is good and holy(and well seasoned!) is WRONG with you [Poindexter] Alex?! Cashier spelled it clean out. There were a grand total of 5 customers at your SUPERBUSY locale. Are you an agent for Operation Cluck’em? Oh, and suervisor dude, display half an inkling of flying [redacted] about your culinary saboteur — -you barely blinked when you heard the issue, while the cashier was ONIT with the refund. Another sandwich was presented but I wasn’t touching anything made by visiting vegan’s worst nightmare. Costa Mesa Panera, kick all of the rocks you can find and don’t be surprised when the rabbit food crew comes a knockin. …No, I did NOT consume that ish… otherwise furniture would be MOVIN. #lookitup

As far as chain sandwich-salad-lunch type places go, Panera is okay. I would definitely come here over Subway, but I would make the extra effort to go to Corner Bakery if given the option. The one thing they do have going for them that no one else has is their breakfast baked egg soufflés. I had heard good things about them and finally tried one the other day. I called in around 8am to make sure they had them before making the trip over before work. They don’t make a lot and they make ‘em fresh so they’re not always available. It was meant to be because they had all 4 flavors coming out just as I called. I went with the spinach bacon one and it was a little piece of heaven. It had a great balance of egg, spinach and bacon enveloped by soft fluffiness. Definitely stop by for breakfast if you get the chance.

Came here for lunch with my team while doing field work. Panera always reminds me of home, especially during cold weather. I can always count on a bowl of broccoli cheddar and my favorite strawberry poppyseed salad to satisfy my hunger. It was such a hit with my coworkers, we went here a second time the following day.
