Space NK

I’m not sure what happened here, but my experience is nothing like the other reviews or even my previous times here.
I went today (6÷16÷15), and there were 2 women here standing by the register going over stuff. I did not receive «Hi. How are you?» Nada, zilch. What I did receive was both of them looking at me (my peripheral vision is very good) and looking away.
It must be because I wasn’t wearing fancy clothing or looked like I was going buy something. Space NK used to be my «to go «place, but after today’s experience I will stick with other stores, or at the very least ordering online.

Best customer service ever from Talia. She used to be at the Newport Fashion Island location, and I followed her here because of her wonderful customer service.
Talia knows the brands that I like, she knows my skin type, and price range. She always calls to check to see that my items are well stocked. More importantly, she calls me when there are sales going on so I can take advantage of the super buys. I much appreciate Talia because she makes herself available via Text message so I don’t have to bother calling into the store. She also reminds me when my SpaceNK reward dollars are about to expire.
I get Zelens, Rodial, Malin & Goetz, African Botanics, By Terry, and much much more here. I’m willing to pay a higher price for great customer service and good products! I can always find something I need at Space NK!
Talia needs to et a raise! She is superb at customer service!

You’ll find this store inside Bloomingdales at South Coast Plaza. It’s located near the escalator on the second floor, and it’s very easy to locate. Even though the surroundings in the store can often seem very busy and distracting, when you sit down in one of the chairs or walk up to the counters, you can expect to receive personalized service from very experienced consultants who really understand the products that are available in the store (which are often difficult to find anywhere else). If you have a particular question in mind about skin care, hair care or cosmetics, it can all be addressed by the experts at Space NK.
One thing I really like about the experience at this store is that I never feel any pressure to make a purchase or buy anything. The consultants are always willing to apply products from testers and then send home samples for me to try.
If you get on their e-​mail list they’ll let you know about special events that are happening in the store. This often means that if you make a purchase of a required dollar amount you can obtain great bags of full and trial size products (not gift bags or gift with purchase like those provided from typical «cosmetic lines.» These are customized special bags that are available in limited quantities). I’ve often found some of my favorite products (especially skin care products) by participating in these special events. Quite often the free gifts that I receive are worth 3 or 4 times the amount of the purchase I made in the store.
The customer service is top notch and the products are second to none.

⁸⁄₂₂ This place carries tons of beauty & hair care products, some of which are hard to find. It’s a ‘space’ in Bloomingdales on the Main Level, near the fragrances and the Salvatore Ferragamo area. I found this place when I was in search of Oribe hair products! Kevin was working (I believe he’s also the manager?) and he is amazing! First of all, I went in there in a rush, with my two children, no make up on, & hair looking like a family of birds lived in it. A lot of places (especially higher end places) see a young mom, by herself & pay me no attention. Kevin made me feel like we’ve been BFF for years, and best of all, it wasn’t the I’m-being-annoyingly-fake-kind-of-nice. He was genuinely nice. He also provided a lot of samples for me and answered a ton of questions I had. The great customer service is a reason I will continue to go in store rather than buy my products online.
⁹⁄₂₄ update: Went there yesterday to purchase a sample he had given me. Sadly he didn’t remember who I was at all, and the personal attention must have been an act because I purchased a lot of items the first time. This last visit I would have rated service 3 stars. the products they carry are a 5 though.

Space NK is by far one of my favorite beauty stores. Kevin and his staff are very courteous and helpful. They sell my favorite brands Oribe, Radical, Phillip B, Zelens and many more. They’re are also very generous with samples which is nice if you want to try something new.
