I took my watch to Star Time to be cleaned, and within a week of picking it up, it stopped running, and when I went to set it, the crown fell off. I lost confidence in Star Time and took it elsewhere to be examined. The new establishment opened up the watch and saw corrosion inside, which they showed me, proving that the watch had not been cleaned at all. Additionally, some of the movement pieces had been broken and glued!!! The watchmaker at this new business repaired and serviced the watch in just two hours. I paid Star Time for service and received nothing. I will never return. Beware!

Star Time is fine if all you need is a watch battery, but beware of their repair service. I took my grandfather’s pocket watch in for repair, and several months later they called to tell me it was fixed. After paying $ 149, I wound the watch and it worked so I put it in a glass case to display it where it would be safe. A year and four months later, I took it out and wound it and found it would not work at all. I took it back and the owner and his wife told me that it was out of warrantee and wanted to charge me another $ 150 to look at it again, giving me a «generous» ten dollar discount. Before this I had him repair a chiming wall clock – trouble was, it would stop working again and again. I probably took this to Star Time half a dozen times to have him repair it(at least it was still under warrantee) before finally giving up. On top of all this, the owner was very difficult to communicate with, making the whole process even more unpleasant.

I love this place. They have tons of watches at a much better discount than other sports stores. Randomly, I bought the best sunglasses I have ever owned here too on a discount. I also get all my watches repaired here at a fraction of the cost than the jeweler people. I’m way happy with this place.

I love this shop. They are inexpensive when it comes to changing out a dead battery. They charged me $ 8.68 to replace whereas other places I’ve been to they’ve charged me $ 15-$ 20. I think it’s owned by a Chinese couple for years now and they’re the sweetest people ever. I was in and out within 5 minutes. The face glass of my watch is pretty badly banged up and I asked how much it would cost to replace it. She told me it would be the same company brand glass and would take about a week to order and replace for about $ 40. That’s not bad for a replacement part. Definitely coming back to get that done later on. I almost didn’t come here today cause I looked on Unilocal and they said it was closed. As I was driving by I saw they were open so I made a u-y and turned around. I asked her that I was pleasantly surprised that they were open and she said that they would be open on Sundays as well for this month only(December). Good to know. They also sell watches of almost every kind and I saw some pretty cool unique and vintage looking pocket watches that were decently priced. Go check them out :)

I went here to get a watch band replacement on an old Seiko. They have good ties to mfgs on Seiko and Citizen to get real replacements, but I went with a stock band that they had. They were very quick to take care of it. I was also in the market for a new watch under $ 400 — so I ended up purchasing a new Eco-Drive. Their prices were fair and they set it up nicely. I would come here again for an affordable watch and the services /skill to take care of my existing watches. Overall I felt a few dollars more than Amazon was worth the personal service. con: I was hoping for a few more kinetic Seikos in stock or an automatic or two, but it didn’t appear they had any.

Fast and very friendly. I wasn’t charged for a quick fix which was awesome.

I bought my boyfriend a watch for Christmas and we popped in the day after to get it resized. They took out two links and we were in and out in about 5 minutes and it cost just $ 7. There were several people in line and it seemed to move quickly. I think it is a husband and wife who run it. There were a TONNNNN of watches to buy, as well as clocks. They do repairs as well.
