Sweeter then honey is just that… Inside comfortable and inviting! My stylist gave me a new look and cut 10inches off! Can I say Thank You, Shelby!

Kristen was fantastic! After a bad experience at a different nearby salon, I grew out my hair for 8 months. Kristen was able to clean up the uneven layers, take off some length, and provide a much friendlier and positive experience. My hair looks healthier and the cut is much more stylish. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Love my new color. Omar always is spot on when it comes to my style and look. I feel so comfortable sitting in his chair knowing I’m going to walk out feeling like a queen.

Go see Jackie! She does wonderful work… she listens to you and totally executes what you want. And she doesn’t take forever either when doing foils!

Kristina does AMAZING color on blondes and beautiful extension placement. I was referred to her by a friend when I moved out here from New Orleans. I had her do my color before I was even moved out and just visiting and I’ve never used anyone else again since. The salon is precious, complete with a beautiful back courtyard area where you can sit and have your extensions taken out or wait with your foils on. They have wine and beer and they always let me bring my Chihuahua in to sit with me. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice place to relax and have your hair done to perfection!

I’m obsessed with Omar! I have been coming to him for a few years now and he never lets me down. I recently moved away from the area but will make the hour drive for him. He always gets my color looking AMAZING and it last for 4 – 6 months (Ombré).

I contacted Monique through their website. I decided to text her to schedule an appointment and she responded quickly. The salon is adorable and has a cozy vibe — succulents everywhere! Everyone at the salon was friendly and made me feel comfortable. Unfortunately, my hair didn’t come out as cute. She charged me $ 170 for just a few streaks that I can barely notice and it’s starting to look green. I’m embarrassed that I paid so much for a bad dye job. I felt like I was ripped off.

I can’t rave enough about OMAR! I won’t go to anyone else for my hair. I’m VERY particular! He always listens to what I want and I don’t feel rushed when I’m in his chair. (Which is important to me) the last salon I went to I felt rushed out and handed off to one assistant to the next. Also the salon has a cute vibe as well!

I have been coming to Monique for a couple years now, and followed her here to Sweeter Than Honey from her previous salon. I’ve literally never seen a cuter salon!!! I want to live in it. I want to decorate my apartment to exactly replicate this salon, LOL. Monique is one of the sweetest people alive, she always gets my hair exactly how I want it with very little instruction or description. She is a Davines educator, she really knows what she’s doing. She’s great with cut, color, the whole shebang! She can recommend things without being pushy, she really just cares about your wellbeing and look. I also work in the beauty industry and I send her all my clients looking for a new hair girl. Love her, love this place, love my hair, life is good.

LOVE Sweeter than Honey Hair Lounge! I’ve been seeing my stylist Jackie, since May of this year and love everything she has done with my hair. During my first session, I told Jackie that I would like to eventually dye my hair gray and she warned me about the potential damage this could do. As you can imagine with someone with dark Asian hair, this required a lot of bleach and some patience. However, with Jackie’s skills she kept my hair healthy throughout the entire process. From precision cuts to balayage, this girl is boss!
I highly recommend Jackie! I absolutely trust her skills and judgement when it comes to my hair. I can’t wait to see what we do next.

Go see Jackie! That girl can do it all! She perfectly matched microbead weft extensions and installed them for me just in time for a wedding! Received so many compliments from work and from friends!
I recently had her take them out and she gave me the best short hair cut ever. I have NEVER liked my hair short at all, UNTIL Jackie worked her magic! She’s also amazing when it comes to color. I have Asian hair so it’s very difficult for me to find a stylist that can turn my hair into a beautiful creamy beige blonde tone instead of the usual brassy/​orange tones I seem to achieve from other stylists.

I absolutely love everything Omar does my hair. I’m constantly changing it up. He has helped me go from black to blonde numerous times, long to short, short to long (extensions). He is a a hair GURU!!! I highly recommend Omar, he is simply the best.
Plus this salon could not be any cuter!!! Great customer service, cute décor. If I worked were a stylist I would want to work here :)

After looking for a hair stylist in OC for 2 years I found Monique and LOVE her. Can’t say enough good things. I’m super picky about my haircuts and she gave me exactly what I needed– and fixed a botched job from the girl before her. She’s meticulous about her cuts and listens to what you want and offers suggestions based on her expertise.
Later tried her when I wanted to switch up my color and she did an amazing job with my balayage. Love her and highly recommend!
Also– I’ve lived close to this salon and had never been in before Monique moved here. It’s such a cute salon– decorated adorable and the girls are really sweet.

I was recommended to Kristen by a mutual friend. I text her about pricing and sent over pictures of what I wanted to get done and she responded quick. I scheduled with her right away and have loved the way my hair has turned out every time I go. She is very professional and easy to schedule appointments with and flexible when you need to reschedule. She does amazing work! I recommended her to my mother who know gets her hair done by Kristen as well. I would recommended her to anyone looking for a new stylist and someone that does amazing work! To top it off, the salon is absolutely adorable! I love the atmosphere!

I was recommended to Jackie by my old stylist who retired. I called her and she was quick to respond as well as friendly and professional.
I’m a brunette who has embraced the California blond look so I have to get my roots done every 5 weeks. I also do highlights every 10 weeks. I was in my roots cycle so I scheduled a «root bump» and a hair cut.
I walked in and the place was charming, a retro fitted house on tustin street. Well designed, modern and inviting. They have complimentary wine, coffee, tea or water. I settled in and I was in and out of there in about an hour and half. Another plus, Jackie used to work at dry bar. Her blowouts are superb. I loved the cut and was complemented on it the next day by my friends which is always nice.
I went back 5 weeks later for highlights and a root bump. I loved what she did with my color. It’s bright, youthful and blends well. It looks natural with my skin tone and has a nice texture.
I highly recommend Jackie. Her prices are reasonable and I feel she has a great artistic eye in terms of visualizing a good style for each person.

I love everything about this salon.
First off, it’s adorable and incredibly comfortable. I am usually at odds with salons’ bright lights and general lay-​out. Sweeter than Honey sets the bar high for salon décor.
Decorum aside, the hair stylists, in particular Lindsay, are amazing. I’ve never been happier with a stylist.
The price is right too.

I LOVE casie! I have had her fix me up on two different occasions and was beyond pleased with both. The first time I had her do a subtle ombré (aka sombre) and it was exactly what I wanted. I didnt want to go crazy with my hair or have as blonde of an ombré as last time and it came out perfectly. It’s subtle, but still noticeable.
The second time I went to casie I needed her help with hair and make up for a formal wedding I was attending. I have never gotten so many compliments on my life! I have medium long hair and wanted to wear it down so I just wanted a nice curl at the bottom. It looked great and held up all night. I’m clueless at both hair and make up so she did my make up too. I’m a bit low maintenance and am always a bit scared when I get my make up done, but was so happy with the outcome. I especially loved how she did my eyes. She also gave me useful tips and let me keep the lip color!

First time at this beautiful hair salon! I couldn’t stope staring at the amazing layout and overall amazing interior design.
My expectation was high and it was definitely met. Great service, wonderful atmosphere and overall appealing atmosphere makes me want to come back again and again.
Now for the hair… I love love love. I always did and will because Omar does wonders! He really listened to what I wanted and how I wanted it and left me breathless and feeling beautiful.
