We decided to stay in the area after a long day at the beach, called several places all over $ 125 and up on a Saturday night. It was well past 9:00pm and we were leaving early the next am. We figured we just need a place to shower and sleep for the night. We drove by Tahiti Inn and turned around to ask if any available rooms, at $ 62.00/night with $ 5. deposit for remote and key it was inviting and we were tired. The interior as I expected was out dated, but clean, bed was comfy but the pillow was so flat you might as well not use one. We parked right in front of our room which is a plus too. easier to get to and from your car to pack up. We ended up on the 1st floor, which on this night the people above us was not at all considerate of keeping it down. Thumped, walked til 3am sounded like they were partying! This review is for the hotel and not the customer Lots of amenities within walking distance to Norms across the street for breakfast and 99 cent stores and gas. Despite the noise above us, it had adequate accommodations with color tv, clean towels, small fridge and staff was nice. Carpet smelled a bit musty and the room can use a little more thorough cleaning as I’ve been to motels and you can smell clean. If you have a budget and want to stay near the beach apx 5 miles away and only need to stay one night, then this may work for you or other nearby motels in the area of Costa Mesa. We are adventurous and on a budget so this was just an 8 – 10 hour stop over.

I have a grudge against this place from 12 years ago that I’ll never forget… If this is a new owner, I’m sorry you have to pay for the old owner being an idiot. If this is the old owner, may the rain showers of extra large eggs continue for many decades.
