Umedspa

Umedspa is the place to go. I got a microdermabrasion and IPL and love it. I have gone to many other places but this is the best in service and quality by far. I will be coming here often from now on!

This is a way overdue review since my first IPL with Natalie RN in November. But it has always been on my mind to do. I travel a lot and get expose to all sort of weather and sun condition so I need to visit her again asap. I’ve been getting IPL since I was 20 to keep my deep hyperpigmentation under control. I moved from Seattle and have only had disappointing IPL treatments in California. I told Natalie my issues and expectations because I’ve had up to par results before in Seattle. I’ve been to spas all over newport beach, laguna beach, and more. I told Natalie it was getting discouraging because the sunspots didn’t fade away and my deep hyperpigmentation was the same — more or less at these spas. However, this time I was 100% pleased with the results and complexion! The results were quality. My skin was clearer and brighter. I received compliments on my skin from my bf, friends, and family (i didn’t even tell them I had IPL).

Came in for my first ILP with Natalie. She is simply a joy! She made me feel like part of the family. I purchased a three IPL treatments thinking it would take that much to reduce the hyper pigmentation from 30 years of sun damage, but after just one treatment my skin looks better than it did in my 20’s! I’m so grateful and cannot recommend this spa highly enough!

Keep track of your services, or risk being tricked into spending.
I visited UMedspa after purchasing a Groupon deal for a package of IPL treatments. After a few pleasant experiences there, I received a text from the owner asking when I could come in for my final treatment. I hadn’t kept exact records of how many treatments I had there and assumed they had it right that this was my last pre-​paid treatment through the Groupon.
So I scheduled via text and showed up, driving across town from the office on my lunch break. After being there for half an hour, face numbed by lidocaine and laser ready to fire, all of a sudden the technician wanted to double check which level to set in the machine and they took a look at my file (which took them 10 minutes to find).
So the owner comes in and says I’ll have to pay for the service, because I’ve had three treatments, though the date of one of them hadn’t been recorded. So, I had the money, and I wanted the treatment, but I got up and walked out on principle.
The owner should have never texted me about a «last treatment.» She said she had mixed me up with another Maia, but wouldn’t my phone number be connected with my file?
I feel like my time was wasted and they tried to get me to buy another treatment in a shady way. I would have gone back and paid as I liked the service, but disorganization or shadiness at this level doesn’t make me feel comfortable as a customer.
I’ll find another spa.

I avoided IPL for many years mainly because I was concerned about the downtime involved. (Yeah, I know — dumb! Obviously I’m a slave to my work.) However, I will also mention that I was extremely nervous about the procedure itself. (Read: How much does it hurt!??)
After reading Unilocal Friend Denise H.‘s glowing review and communicating with her separately via email about her experience, I became convinced to give Umedspa a try. I purchased a deal through Amazon Local and just this past Saturday completed my second of a series of treatments. Donna is the BEST, a leader in skin care; I find her to be professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. She put me at ease immediately and I am forever grateful to her for not making me feel any worse about my poor, sun-​damaged skin.
I am extremely pleased with the results achieved with IPL, thus far. I’ve noticed a gradual improvement in my hyperpigmentation and overall skin tone. The procedure is also fairly quick (approximately 30 minutes), non-​invasive and involves no extensive downtime, making it a convenient option for us professionals with hectic schedules. Facility is clean, bright and welcoming. Prices are reasonable.
My sole complaint: I wish I had found Donna sooner!

I loved my experience here. I bought an nCrowd voucher for an IPL. The numbing cream was no extra charge and it really worked! My IPL was 98 percent painless. Some place use a numbing cream that I swear is just some Jergens lotion smeared on your face.
Donna is a sweetheart and they will do all future IPL’s for the discounted price. I think I just found my new IPL place! Donna told me they also run Groupons so watch for them and grab them if you see them.

Donna was amazing!!! I found her through Groupon SOOOO happy I did!!! The space is beautiful; the building is fairly nondescript, but once inside it smells amazing and there is a ton of space and natural light and the décor is amazing!!!
Donna is extremely nice and really listens; my skin has changed dramatically after just one treatment, and I really needed someone who would listen to all of my questions about products and concerns and recommend a plan of action. She helped me map out a better skincare plan, and her facial transformed my skin.
After years of hiding my skin under makeup, her facial transformed my skin. Someone told me I had the nicest skin they’d ever seen. If that’s not an endorsement, I don’t know what is! I also liked how she recommended products to me that she doesn’t sell, which tells me she genuinely cares and is in this business because she wants to help people and not just make a profit.
I came to my appointment an hour early and she took me in right away!!! I will send my friends to Donna. Can’t recommend her enough!!!
