Don’t waste your time, energy or money. I purchased a 3 facial Groupon. I only got 2 of them due to the 1) ongoing shenanigans of the salon and owner and 2) my complete dissatisfaction that just wasn’t worth putting up with their ridiculousness any longer. No one shows up on time. No one keeps original appointments. ZERO ownership, all excuses. I’d never heard of them prior. I’ll never see them again. Lost money, lost energy, lost time, thanks for NOTHING.

Great salon! Mikaela gave me the best cut and color that I’ve had in a very long time. She was professional and personable. I’ve already booked my next appointment… don’t hesitate to give Voss a try!

First time at this salon. Super cute inside and Mikaela did a great job on my crazy curly, fine hair. Only $ 25.00 for my cut and they have a special if you color your hair get a free cut. I don’t usually like the way people style my hair and Mikaela did a great job. She was fast and friendly and I like supporting local businesses in Eastside. Across from the the Santa Monica seafood company, Voss Salon is a great choice!

I really wanted to like this place, especially after looking at all the 5 star reviews. But just like you don’t judge a book by its cover, you don’t judge a place by its stars. Here is why:
I needed a hair cut, since my hair guy was out of town, I decided to go to Voss salon after finding them on Unilocal.I’m writing this review because I wish I would have read something like this before going in. Not trying to give a «bad» review just a helpful one.
If you’re looking for a place where you can get a ‘chic’ haircut, something that is updated and popular, you WON’T get it here! I even brought pictures to show exactly what I wanted and instead, I got the worst haircut of my life. You know that look like when you cut your own bangs? That’s how I look and it didn’t even get bangs! It sucks because I wanted to look beautiful for my hubby since it’s our anniversary, instead, I feel like my hair up for now is the only way to go. Bad hair doesn’t NOT make a woman feel pretty.
Now I will have to spend double the money to fix this bad haircut. I have to note, I bought the Unilocal deal, $ 30 for $ 75. She usually charges $ 65, I asked to I would tip accordingly. Personally, it’s not worth it. She was even 40 minutes late for my appointment. That’s a big No no in my book.
This place has a lot of regulars, which is great but I think they need to get a little more updated if they want to attract a younger and more diverse clientele. The service is great, that’s why I’m rating it 2 stars but I will definitely not be going back. To be honest, if it wasn’t for the non-​refundable deal that I had already purchased, I would have walked out of there as soon as I stepped in.
Sticking with my hair stylist from now on, this has me scared for life! P. S. He only charges $ 45 and he knows what he’s doing ;)

OK… I just HAVE to post this.
I LOVE the cut Desiree gave me… love, love, LOVE it. My hair falls beautifully… like it’s supposed to when you have a good haircut. I knew this girl knew what she was doing when she asked me how I want my ends cut… blunt? Yes, blunt please because I have fine hair.
I washed my hair last night, let it air dry and put a tiny bit of product in it, and it looks great… and it’s not easy to make my hair look good. I have lots of hair but it’s baby fine and tangles like a you-​know-​what. It seems like I’ve had a million haircuts in my lifetime and only a handful have ever been «awesome». I’ve had my hair cut from celeb stylists to Supercuts. I have some great cuts by famous stylists and I’ve also gotten some great cuts at Supercuts. It’s a crapshoot.
I think I just found my fave haircutter in O. C…AND the price is reasonable!

What an awesome experience! My aesthetician was Patricia (I received a Purifying Back Facial), the owner, and she was just as sweet as could be. She spent well over an hour with me, made the extractions as least painful as possibly. She had a gentle touch, and everything was perfect. She offered me a bottle of free exfoliator. I will definitely be back!

I’ve been getting my haircut by Patricia for over 15 years now and I won’t go anywhere else to get my haircut. I usually go in with no coherent idea of what I want an Patricia takes my ramblings and turns it into a great haircut. A nice clean salon that is as professional as it gets

The staff at Voss Salon are fantastic. I have been going to this place for 8 months and Patricia is by far the most professional and talented colorist I’ve ever met. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend!

This review is hugely overdue, because I’ve been coming here for probably around 6 – 8 years! Patricia is the best. I’ve probably had about everything done during that time: haircut/​color, deep shampoos, facials, gel nails, eyebrows… the works. Patricia has always done such a great job with my hair. I’ve had a few funky-​ish cuts over the years with angles and shorter hair in the back with longer pieces up front… plus I had some fun red streaks underneath my hair at one point… and I know I’m in good hands when it comes to haircuts that require some skill.
It’s a small and intimate salon where you get to know her doggie Bella whenever Patricia brings her in :) It’s also very reasonably priced for the area it’s in. I’ve recently moved to the LA area and miss this salon very much! If I ever go back to doing anything funky with my hair, I will drive to Costa Mesa to have Patricia do it :)

Patricia took care of my hair. I got a spit-​end treatment and a trim and loved the results. Definitely returning in a couple months.

I have to say if you’re looking for a hair stylist that knows what you want and can make you feel like a brand new person when leaving then, this is the place.
I been going here now for three years and have to say my hair has never looked better! I don’t have the lushes locks or thick curly hair. I have that fine thin crap that you can’t do much with. But that all changed when I found Patricia and Des. These ladies are true angels and so kind and patient. It’s great to finally be able to go to a hair salon and not get judged on what color, type or style you ware.
I recommend anyone female or male who is looking for a great place for a color, cut or style for an amazing night. To try this place I promise you will leave feeling absolutely amazing!

Groupon led me to call Voss Salon and I spoke to Desiree.
We decided to meet and she transformed my long hair from flat, uneven coloring (from an HB salon) and fresh black 1 inch roots to fabulous, full rich burgundy, fresh trim and gorgeous!
Overall — definitely pleased with her and the small comfy salon. I am very happy with my results and Groupon was a BIG PLUS.

When I went to Voss I did not know what to expect. I put the address in my GPS and headed South. When I hear a place is worth trying out it’s time to check it out.
Voss is a small salon across from Santa Monica Fish so you can have a yummy lunch right before or after. I heard they are going to to totally revamp this place and make the changes. No pretentious here. Everyone is friendly. Patricia, the owner, met me and introduced herself when she arrived. She has a smile and sweetness and wants you to have a wonderful experience when you are in her salon.
I have been to many salons and walked in to meet Blair. I would never trust my hair to anyone else. EVER. When you meet Blair you feel like baked goods are baking in Grandma’s oven (For me I can smell cinnamon and walnuts in the oven). He will listen to what you envision for yourself or just tell you what he thinks. I have referred several friends to him and they all agree Blair is the Best EVER!
I am blonde, not without help but with the help of Blair and the magic foils he draped on my head. I had a haircut and a wonderful time. He is one of those people you make a connection with and you feel like your hair is in harmony with the rest of your body when you leave. Or in my experience your hair just commands everything else.
You will get looks an compliments like never before. Each stylist has their own pricing there so make sure you check that out before making your appointment. I did not get a basic cut. I got the Ooo-​La La Treatment. I call it that because I left went out Christmas shopping and out to a party. My waiting times decreased as my hair spoke to everyone around that I was somebody who did not need to wait. I say this all in good fun but I did go to a party that night and had a blast because when the hair on your head is happy the whole body is too! I saw my Sister two days later and she said WOW!

Great place to get a hair cut. I paid $ 27 for hair conditioning, head message and cut. Ryan did a great cut. My hair looked way better. I have experienced really bad cuts in my life and some really good ones too. This was definetely one of the great cuts where he did a thorough and professional cut.

I have a girl I normally see when I get color done, but I just needed a haircut right before my birthday trip so I decided to try a new place out with the help of Groupon. I called and was able to make a same day appointment for right after work.
I came in around 6pm and was the only customer there. I felt bad coming in so late in the day but I never felt rushed the entire time. Ryan cut my hair. He was very friendly and chit chatted with me the entire time. He and Patricia (the owner) answered any questions I had and were very informative on the products they use without pressuring me to buy anything.
My Groupon was for a haircut, deep condition and scalp massage for $ 27. They told me when I made the appointment that a blow-​dry was an extra $ 10 which I decided to do. But Ryan ended up doing it for me at no charge! Very cool! He still took his time and gave great tips on how to style my hair type.
It’s crazy that I lived a few streets down from this place for 2 years and never noticed it! Anyone in the area who needs a haircut should definitely give this salon a try.
