I eanted so much to like this restaurant. There is a need for this type of place in the area. The owners are obviously not restaurant people but more cook people because the personality of the management which carries onto the waitstaff is poor and cold. More than a few times we’ve gone in for lunch, were given a menu and no one ever came out. After 20 minutes at a table with no one in the restaurant we left. The atmosphere is boring and cheap and the feel of the place is uncomfortable. If and when you ate actually served, some of the dishes are very good and some are hit and miss. If you go and run the risk of not being served, or being ignored. Unless someone buys this restaurant has a clue, it is doomed.

Ordered the beef phở soup, kinda eh — and WEKNOW good phở from lousy phở. Had it many places. This stuff was salty, and weird tasting. Also had the chicken with noodle whatever, really cheap and skimpy with the chick. Yes, the place was supposedly remodeled, but it really is quite bland, dinky, dark, and stuffy. The one piece of ice in the water glass melted quickly. Won’t return, I’ll pay more at SEA Thai but I WILL leave satisfied about the whole experience. This Noodle place was empty on a Saturday afternoon, and now I know why. Actually — a good tip for me and all others, if a place has NO customers it’s probably good to not walk in or leave if you are already inside.

Was not impressed with our food or service! Arrived at 8pm as the open sign was still on and waitress made sure to let us know they were closing at 8:30 which made us feel rushed. Also the food was not the greatest. We love thai food and was disappointed by the very bland taste. My wife love thai ice tea and she said it was like drinking straight creamer. Won’t come back as our favorite places to go are Pongos in Petaluma or Sea Thai Bistro in Santa Rosa!

Nice atmosphere. Good service. Overpriced. Small portions. My boyfriend ordered Phở… it was bland… I ordered Pad Thai. .Noodles were undercooked and clumped together, almost inedible. The dish contained 2 small prawns and chicken that tasted old. I will not be back.

I’m new in town and was looking for the flavors I love this place was rated higher on Unilocal than Tiny Thai in Cotati and so that’s why I went here. Vietnamese won over Thai tonight! I really like the atmosphere it was cozy as you would expect in most Vietnamese restaurants. The service was good the staff was really nice and I really like the spring rolls. The peanut sauce was very tasty! But what I really came here was for the Phở. Sad to say I was not all that impressed. I have to be honest I’ve had better. It seems to be missing some star anis or some cinnamon either way something was off. It was by no means horrible but it was just good enough. They did have some Thai dishes on the menu, maybe next time I’ll try those.

First time having Vietnamese food and it was delicious! My combination beef phở was very flavorful and they give you a huge portion! I could barely finish half of it l, the price was good too. Checked on on Unilocal for the free Boba milk tea which was delicious as well. Cute place located right next to Olivers.

Started with the egg rolls. Small but very tasty. My son said they were the best he has ever had. We had the spicy beef soup and steak soup. Nice spicyness to the spicy soup. Steak soup also good. Just a little pricey for soup. But we are totally full. Next time I am sick I will get the spicy beef soup. Totally cleared my sinuses!

First impressions of the place is that it feels pretty comfortable due to the high ceiling. The Food is really good if are looking for something fast and light yet flavorful. I has some cold noodles and a beef noodle phở style soup. The food doesnt make you feel heavy at all in comparison to other asian food like ramen. Definitely going back when ever i stick around at that area.

Arrived just at about 6pm, and it was not quite busy yet… which was very nice. Small and well read menu~I do have to say the chicken salad was a let down-a mound of shredded ice burg lettuce, not ripe tomato, the cucumber was pretty-and the dressing very flavorful. The chicken was not tender-more like dried shredded chicken. Hope for better if you order– My Mom ordered a Chicken Phở-which was beautiful. I had the Tofu/Veg Phở-very good. I would have to say the broth really had good flavor-not as much as a beef one would-good none the less. All in all, clean restaurant and the service was very good.

For Cotati’s first noodle bar, the place ain’t half bad! I ordered the Egglpant Love with Chicken and the flavors were spot on and the eggplant was ever so buttery and delicious. My sister ordered the Beef Phở, and that too was equally as satisfying. The spring rolls were good… but I’m a sucker for the peanut sauce and this order was not 100%. The service was good, and the ambiance is quaint and to the point. High fives all around, I’d do it again.

Very happy to see a noodle bar in Rohnert Park. Wish it was a Ramen bar, but they have some great offerings nonetheless. Focuses on Thai and Vietnamese food, which they do incredibly well. I’m not a huge fan of Phở but my guess was and she really enjoyed it, and I had a Sesame noodle bowl that was ridiculously savory. Nice cozy relatively mode decoration, has a TV and darker black and blue color scheme. A couple things could be improved upon but they were just opening when I went so I look forward to returning and seeing if they did. One of my biggest complaints about the other places of this nature is that the service is terrible and generally nonexistent or you just order and they deliver the food and that’s it. But this is a full Service restaurant with incredibly attentive staff and terrific food. This successfully classed up this genre.

We live just around the corner and I was so excited to try Noodle Bistro. I brought my daughter for our girls day and while the décor was nice and the staff pleasant, the food was awful. The shrimp spring rolls were were old and chewy over packed with lettuces and the shrimp was tasteless. only remedy was lots of peanut sauce. My daughter had to pull out half the lettuce to get it down and it filled a small plate(i/2 spring roll) we only finished 1 between us I ordered the pad thai and my daughter ordered the chicken noodles soup . My Pad Thai was gluey and the noodles had a strange vinegar taste they stuck together in a giant clump .The plate was small and I could not Finnish My daughter had a large bowl of broth with lots of onions and what amounted to boiled chicken with over cooked noodles. Not worth over 37.00 for a lunch Sad I really wanted to like this place!

Place was small and quiet Service was ok. Slow and awkward Food was great! I had the shrimp spring rolls with sweet and spicy sauce. Soda is canned. Selection of food was limited and prices were a little high but average among the competitors.

Not too shabby! The chicken phở was delicious. The taste was on point and it came with all the standard fixings. And it’s gluten free! Service was friendly but slow. I went with a friend and our dishes came out 5 minutes apart. The presentation also wasn’t the best. The atmosphere could use some work. Modern lighting and tables, but still has somewhat of a janky feel compared to other phở places in the area that charge similar prices. Overall, it’s nice to have a phở place on this side of Cotati. I would go back here for takeout for sure.

I came to this spot when it was a Thai restaurant. I must say, this place definitely got a makeover! I ordered the beef phở and lemon grass chicken. It was DELICIOUS! I usually put a lot of spices in my phở but this time, I didnt have to. Excellent presentation and an A+ on service. I would come back again and again! If you’re looking for a new spot. This is it!!!

We had an amazing dinner with family in Sonoma visiting. Everything fresh. We loved beef short ribs and red curry with roast duck. Excellent food and service. Very nice atmosphere. We would highly recommend this place to all our friends and family. The only ‘bad’ thing I can say about it is that it’s in Cotati and I live in San Francisco:-(Can’t wait to go back for more and try something new^.^

I really want to like this place. So perhaps, just perhaps, I will give it another try. The stars are strictly for service and timing, and … well, the EFFORT on the food. While my mother loved the restaurant’s food. She was really hungry and while I was too, I just wasn’t as vigorous about eating all of it. We started out by ordering spring rolls with pork and shrimp(or maybe I jumped the gun as it’s my litmus test for a new Vietnamese/Thai restaurant). While only one dish of peanut sauce came, the waiter was very astute and quick about bringing out another dish to make it personal for each of us. How nice! I love hoisin and hot sauce, so now I could season mine more. With each end of roll bite I was disappointed. It was super thick and was hard to chew. I love rice cakes, which is what the rice paper essentially is, so I muscled through it. I immediately knew if this was what they usually served I was not bringing them home to my fiancé. He doesn’t love doughy rice based things, loves rice noodles, but not thick rice flour stuff. What it more accurately meant is that the spring roll wasn’t freshly made. The ends only get that tough when sitting around for a while or if made ahead, not wrapped in plastic properly. I make rice paper rolls all the time and know if you wrap them, they will last for several hours. Tsk tsk, were these, aghast? From the day before? The spring rolls were loaded with more shredded lettuce than anywhere else I’ve ever been, which I did actually love. It was refreshing, though the rolls were not rolled evenly. Some were much, much, much fatter than others. But again, we were hungry … so who cares right? Only something didn’t taste right. Ah, dip it in more hot sauce. I’ll figure that out in my head later. We both ordered the special«spicy» beef noodle soup of the day. The beef cuts were so varied to that which comes in a combination phở, minus the sinuous cuts and tripe. There were fatty cuts like brisket. There were lean cuts like round bottom. But, hey what is this? The noodles were thick like 2x thick udon, but not udon, not too-unlike Italian spaghetti-like, not Chinese/Korean exactly … I was thrown for a loop. Plus they were super slippery. Sometimes, I had to eat them with my fork because they were just so huge for soup with chopsticks/spoon and so many big cuts of beef. This was just plain weird. I consider myself good with an Asian spoon and chopsticks! Was this phở? Was this supposed to be Vietnamese? Oh wait, the menu says«comma Thai» so, um, I’m not used to any noodles like these in soup, are these Thai … or Vietnamese? They were more like sauced noodles I’m used to in Korean and Chinese cooking. This confused my brain a bit since they were neither like the egg based noodles you find in phở nor the usual cellophane nor rice noodles. I asked for a dipping dish in the manner of phở style to add hoisin and hot chili sauce to my soup. I was happy to see both sauces available in little lidded ceramic containers(with presumably clear bottle pourable soy sauce but I didn’t try it so don’t know). However, the waiter misunderstood me and thought I wanted more peanut sauce. I looked over and realized I had eaten most of my peanut sauce, so screw it! I would use that dish for sauce! I politely told him«nevermind, and thank you!» realizing I would just use that to my liking. I ate half of my soup. It was interestingly kind of bland and not spicy for«spicy» soup. I inquired to my mother«Hmm, I wonder what kind of oil they have floating on top since there is no spice what-so-ever in it?» She said«It tastes great to me. I’m totally coming back». I’m not going to deny good depth of flavor but again, something or some things were just not right and missing. I couldn’t put my finger on it. How could the oil look like it was infused with chili but have no spice? It had the appearance of being infused with annatto seed. I took the half of my soup and the last cut in half spring roll home. Upon inspection in the light(even mid-day it was soooo dark in the restaurant) I realized what was wrong with the spring rolls. There were no pork slices rolled in. How do you have a pork and shrimp spring roll with no pork? I appreciated the sprig of cilantro inside and the load of lettuce, but missed the pork. Sigh. With my soup though, I sprinkled toasted sesame oil infused with chili and it LOOKED the same! hunh?! Like with any phở though, the noodles were mush. I thought I could make it home with such large noodles in the soup and maybe they would last an hour or two later. But I should know better. I munched on the beef and called it a day. Next time I want phở in Cotati, I’ll probably go around the other phở place on the corner off 116 toward Sebastopol and get phở there. That’s my go-to place which hasn’t change in years. They aren’t confused if they are Vietnamese or Thai. I still have hope for this place. I’m just not a fan yet.

The bistro is our«Go-To» for the best Phở. I will get around to the favorites on the menu from the Thai Kitchen days. The Spring rolls are also great. Nice atmosphere…
