Most of the time when i post about a business it is to complain about their lack of ethic. In balance i am posting about Sonoma Backyard.
Their sales staff were knowledgeable and honest. My sales rep only considered what i said i wanted and represented the options available to me without bias or manipulation. My experience with every member of their staff was efficient and pleasant. The folks who delivered my hot-​tub were exemplary in their professionalism and attention to detail, and it was not an easy installation by any means. Add to this, that I am not one who can stand a 2% deviation from level. So are they, it turns out. Perfect.
5 stars. Well earned.

We recently bought a new home in Monte Rio and wanted a hot tub. I spent a considerable amount of time research EVERY aspect of hot tubs, from manufacturer, model, type, to dealer. At the end of the day, it became clear that the leading manufacturers are pretty much the same and that it really is about the dealer you go with, and their support and service.
We went with Sonoma Back Yard from a very strong recommendation from our dear friends in the area. We decided on a big tub since we have lots of friends. We got a good price on our tub and so far it has been a great decision. We have worked with Gabe and his attention to detail and support is pretty phenomenal. He is always available to answer any question we had, regardless of how basic.
Highly recommend them.

We recently had a custom lap pool built from this company. While it’s a process, it was all totally worth it. The pool is fantastic and has exceeded my expectations.
I would totally recommend Thomas and his staff. They were terrific!

Wow did I hit the jackpot! This is the best store I have ever experienced in all of Sonoma County and Marin County combined! I was looking for patio furniture as well as a hot tub and ended up purchasing both from Sonoma Backyard. Not only was the salesperson very knowledgeable but my experience all the way through delivery and set up was a class act. A+ to everyone at Sonoma Backyard for making this experience so easy. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for quality backyard products!

We bought a spa at the Sonoma County fair just a couple months ago. It was delivered perfectly. After a couple days we noticed a leek. Gabe was on top of it right away, he sent Thomas and Oliver over to our house in Napa to repair which they did in 15 minutes. Then we noticed a few jets didn’t work, so out came Oliver again to check that issue. After replacing 8 jets that still didn’t work he let Gabe know the status. The very next day Gabe starting working on a new replacement from the factory for us. These guys handled everything like pros. In about 3 weeks we had our new factory fresh spa that worked great the first time we turned it on. So I would not buy a Spa Hot tub ect. from anybody else! These guys stand behind what they sell and that’s getting hard to fine these days.

Wow! Purchased my swim spa last month. After extensive research before contacting them, I found Thomas and Aaron to be very knowledgeable and professional to work with. I was able to ‘try’ the spa before committing and I loved it! Their pricing was the best I could find locally. The spa was delivered and set up in a timely manner and I enjoy it daily. It’s everything they represented it to be! I called a few times with maintenance questions and my calls were returned immediately. I highly recommend this business for anyone looking for a spa!

Sonoma Backyard has very high quality outdoor furniture and an amazing staff who went above and beyond the call of duty for us! We purchased a discounted, showroom model beautiful outdoor kitchen that came with a propane BBQ grill. They overnighted us a conversion kit so we could hook it up to our natural gas. When the kit was delayed beyond the date for our celebratory BBQ, they came over and hooked up propane so that we could have our BBQ. Then, when the kit came, they delivered it and took the propane tank away. We also bought the bar stools (also the showroom models and seriously discounted) and a great umbrella from them which are fantastic. I highly recommend Sonoma BBQ for their service and quality!

Looking at their web site I thought I hit the king of all outdoor furniture stores. What I soon found out after getting there is there is more yard furniture at your local Lowe’s, Home Depot and Orchard Supply. They must have used one of those special fish eye lenses on the camera when they took the picture of the showroom. That was a waste of time. The help wasn’t anywhere as good as the aforementioned stores either. I was told they could order anything I needed, but I can do that as well on line, with free shipping and not sales tax.
I’d forget this place.

We just bought a great propane-​fueled fire pit table from this place. It was pricey, but I think we got a good product that will last a long time. When we were in the sales room, I felt we got great service, but that was where it stopped.
We were told that the delivery date would be 4 weeks from when we purchased it, and a note on our receipt confirmed this. After 4 weeks passed, we called to see where the table was and they told us it was backordered and would arrive on July 5^th. What good is it to get outdoor furniture the day after a holiday, and shouldn’t you notify us when you learn something is backordered?
On July 5^th I received a phone call from someone telling me the «good news» that our fire pit had just left the manufacturer’s warehouse. When I explained that I was expecting it to be in my yard already that day, he told me that he had a note on the order form (from 5 weeks prior at this point) that it had always been scheduled to leave the manufacturer on July 5^th. What? Why would you lie to me twice about the shipping date? Or if it wasn’t a lie, learn how to communicate with each other so that you stop making your customers angry!

Terrible! Called three times to get an estimate for a pool cover and was told the owner would call me back. Never heard from them. Horrible customer service!

We hired Gabe from Sonoma Backyard to replace the pool mastic around our pool at our new home. Shortly thereafter we had some issues with the deck-​o-​seal for some reason but Gabe came through for us and fixed it for us free of charge! To me, this is the sign of superior customer support. Thanks again Gabe and we will certainly look to you for our future pool needs.
