This gas station is a decent place to stop on the way through Florida. On the way through Florida I was in need of fuel. Apparently this was as far as one tank would take me, so I picked this normal looking Chevron. This station is very typical of an older Chevron. The pump areas were clean, had empty trash and functional windshield squeegees. The convenience store felt a little old and run down, but was clean. The bathroom was decent, but lacked paper towels for hand drying. Everyone knows hand dryers are worthless when your drying man sized hands. Once I left the bathroom with my slightly damp mitts it was time for road trip snack food. I found all of the standard chips, beef jerky, etc. that you’d find in any store. They did have Tabasco flavored Slim Jim’s which is always a plus. They also had pickle flavored chips that were so vinegary my tongue and hand were slightly numb after eating them. Anyone who likes salt and vinegar knows that is the hallmark of a good chip. Healthy? Probably not, but who doesn’t love a numb tongue? The cashier was very friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. In fact, I probably would’ve rated it two stars had it not been for his cheery demeanor. If you’re heading through this area and need fuel, this Chevron is a decent place to fuel up.
