Service is prompt and friendly. The fried green beans appetizer are not to be missed. Everything we ordered was delicious, and we were shocked at the speed of service. The jalapeño coleslaw is a must try.

The food is always good along with the service. Great drink menu and amazing appetizers. My favorite this to get is the two sandwich and soup combo! I was definitely impressed they had a whiskey sphere in my old fashion. Definitely eat here when you’re in town.

This is a great place with such deep history! I love the location, because I love old town Cottonwood. I am old enough to remember the Rialto Theater and when it burnt down the last time. I have always gotten excellent SERVICE here and that is different wait staff each time, so I feel that they train staff well. The menu is diverse and the food has always been very good, from prime rib to chicken dishes. 4 stars because I think that the prices are a tad high, so this is where I would go for a special celebration or a date. Others may not agree on the prices, I am giving MY opinion. It’s worth it to treat yourself now and then!

The sports bar look of the place made me wonder if the food would be good or lackluster typical bar food. Happy to report the grilled salmon salad was delicious; the salmon was cooked perfectly. Very impressed the food was this good considering I ate there in the midst of a NFL playoff game.

One of the few dinner places in Cottonwood that looked worth trying. It’s right next to a hotel so was pretty busy when we arrived. We opted to sit at the bar, which was pretty spacious so we were comfortable. I ordered a combo of their soup and two half sandwiches. The soup was french onion, which I’ve been all about lately. Their chicken salad sandwich was tasty. Wash it down with a nice margarita, and call it a day! A plus was that the bartender accidentally poured the wrong beer for someone else and just came over and handed it over to my bf without a second thought. Free stuff is always nice :)

This is by far my favorite place in Verde Valley great for family, business mtgs, sports watching or taking a date. Very good chefs here. Filet mignon chili is the bomb. Desserts are always top notch and there are even selections for those on a tight budget. Also this was a key business in legit downtown revitalization.

The Hostess was extremely rude and refused to seat us with my medical alert dog who was wearing her vest. We stopped in for a bite but had to leave, won’t be coming back.

A BAD experience that I would have never expected. Saturday, January 6th2016, around 11:30 two of us dropped in after a great morning of martial arts classes. The hostess, a women with long black hair, greeted at the door and without asked us any questions she immediately told said«you’re welcomed to sit at the bar or outside, otherwise you’re looking at 25 minutes or more before a table is available». We I formed her there would be three and we’d like a table. She looked around and replied«well its going to be awhile». I said ok. She seemed irritated we were even there. As we stood talking a much nicer gentleman approached and in a much more welcoming tone asked«Table for two gentleman». We informed him we were already waiting for a table thank you. When the original hostess returned and she really seemed agitated by us for some reason. We were simply standing in door area where for the most part we always stand. We’re locals and we frequent this and the other three restaurants under the same ownership. Understand that by now we had only been here for 5 minutes. The rude hostess turns to us and offers the bar area and repeats an open table could be 30 minutes or more. I asked if we had done something and she quickly responded with«well I can’t have you just standing in the doorway so either sit at the bar or you can wait outside». We replied«it doesn’t seem like you want us here so we will leave». She sarcastically replied«we then you have a nice day now». We went to bocci down the street where I do know the manager and the chef and received a much better welcome. We never blocked anyone while standing in that doorway, nor would we have. We’re respectful martial artist very well known by one of the chefs at Bocci. I can’t explain the women’s behavior at the Tavern, but I can tell you this set us back. Tough to recommend a place with such a rude person in a customer service role.

My wife and I love this place. We are«regulars.» The food is fantastic. .. we’ve never been burned by either food or service. The management is the same as Nic’s and Bocce, two other fine establishments. We love the local flavor, the nice atmosphere, and the reasonable prices. This location used to be a cinema, and the walls go back to the 1930s or so. Really feels historic! The Filet Trio is terrific. .. three small pieces of delicious filet, with different sauces. Also, they have a very nice happy hour. Very reasonable and delicious house wines, and some $ 5 specials on food that are outstanding. Highly recommended, you can’t go wrong here. Worth the drive from the rip-off prices of Sedona. Bartenders like Brandon and Daniel, and some terrific wait staff, make this a unique and enjoyable place for an evening out.

Went here to watch Monday Night Football. Nice atmosphere. My Brother and I had an appetizer, some kind of Southwest wrap and 2 beers apiece and it was less than $ 20! Nice! Good atmosphere too. Check this place out. It’s cool.

I guess you need to remember. .it’s a sports bar. Nothing low calorie and a zillion tvs. if you want low carb. the chicken kale salad. but you need to ask for dressing on the side. The Margarita was like limeade.

My wife and I stopped in for a early evening bite Sunday. The place was comfortably full, but we were quickly shown to a booth. There are televisions all over. Football was on most screens. I ordered a local IPAD on tap and my wife wanted a diet coke. Only Pepsi! we smuggled a bottle in! Ordered a bacon cheeseburger with blue cheese and jalapeño coleslaw! Burger was a full meal, cooked perfect, medium, and the slaw good. Not too hot. Wife had lavash. I think she was expecting something fire one. What showed up was a large pizza sized lavash. She loves it and plans to have a few more meals from it. Manager came and brought a glass with ice fire the coke. Didn’t want the bottle on the table! Great service nice devote and atmosphere. Price right.

I honestly don’t have anything sassy to say in this review other than this is a genuinely great place to eat at when you’re in town. When I’m in smaller towns, I tend to shy away from ordering things my inner fat child would like because I over analyze how«fresh» the food is, meaning, how long it has probably sat from distributor, truck, to freezer. You’d be surprised at how long food can sit in the back of the freezer, just ask my forgotten Healthy Choice frozen dinners circa 2008 that I strategically place so fridge snoopers will think I actually care about my body. Hah. Anyways, my boyfriend took the plunge even though I tried to swat some sanity into him with the menu but it actually turned out to be a really juicy and plumplicious piece of meat. Pretty decent sized too as he was able to share with his dad and no righteous American male would share his piece of meat unless it was more than his freedom-loving stomach could handle. I got the bacon chicken sandwich and that was great as well, no dry meat at all. They also have Moscow Mules made with Gosling’s, huzzah! Parking can be a pain in the butt. Like, left-eye wincing pain in the butt so be prepared to drive up and down the road and pretend not to freak out over the fact that you forgot how to parallel park. This little road full of motorcycle bars, neat little treasure shops and other restaurants is usually packed so I’m not sure if they take reservations but don’t be surprised at the crowd in general.

My friend and I choose this spot for dinner on the 4th of July. I was impressed with the customer service and the staff was very friendly. The food was tasty and we both enjoyed a red, white and blue daiquiri. located downtown cottonwood near some of the wineries we visited. return factor is high.

The food is decent here in my opinion — not mind blowing but good enough when you’re stopping by. Our family was on vacation two weeks ago and we were recommended this place by the locals. I got the tuna salad, which had these crispy noodles, mushrooms & salad greens. The tuna was well prepared but the rest of the salad wasn’t inspiring. My dad got the burger which looked good. My sister and mom both got gyros, while one had soup and the other had sweet potatoe fries. It seems clean & the service is good. I can’t put a finger on it, but I think the food could be improved.

We drove in to the Sedona area for several days after four days at Zion and were looking for a casual food and good burgers. It turned out that none of our family ordered burgers, but we had a great meal here. I had a Dark and Stormy, one of my favorite summer drinks and have to say it was one of the best Dark and Stormy’s I’ve had. The coconut shrimp appetizer was just average — the shrimp a little tough and the dipping sauce a forced combination that was a bit tasteless. The entrees we ordered were wonderful. I had the Philly cheesesteak and it was exceptional — nicely shaved pieces of meat with onions, peppers and cheese on a lightly cooked roll along with au jus. My wife had the French Dip we she equally enjoyed. Our oldest had a pasta dish which was an extremely large portion and while not something I would have ordered, he liked it, while our daughter had a perfectly cooked sirloin steak topped with blue cheese along with mashed potatoes and vegetables and our youngest son had the sirloin sliders. The menu was more expansive than we expected and although we can’t speak to the quality of everything, all the meat dishes were great and the prices were very reasonable. Finally, the building is very charming. It used to be a theater, once one of the oldest continually operating theaters before it burnt down. The owners bought the property and kept some of the original side walls so it had a nice modern yet retro vibe. I’d definitely return here and highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for solid American food and drinks.

Couldn’t have picked a better place if I tried! We were heading back to the Airport from Sedona and decided to make a stop in Cottonwood to check it out and have lunch. Walked around and really enjoyed the little town and what it had to offer. There were seven of us so we had severn different tastebuds, dairy needs, and stomachs to work with. Sometimes that can be tough when it comes to a group of people. All seven of us were sat down comfortably with a very nice waitress named Melissa. She was good at her job! Got us drinks, order, and the sides we asked for with little fuss or muss. Nice Job Melissa! I had the Ahi Tuna Wrap with fries. WOW! Some Beach! It had great taste and flavor! A nice surprise was their horseradish cream dipping sauce. It was perfect amount of heat(it didn’t take your nose hairs off.) Its a pleasant dipping sauce that went really well with the wrap. My husband had the beef sliders. They nailed it! I got a bite and was amazed with the flavor of the meat in addition to the softness and taste of the bun. I would’ve been disappointed if my Ahi Tuna Wrap wasn’t so fantastic. Everyone… I mean EVERYONE enjoyed their lunch including our two vegetarians. I was supposed to say this too. The sweet potato fried were delicious. I’m not a sweet potato anything so I took their word for it. This is a must stop if your in the area! The history of the town and building is a great read as well. It used to be the oldest running single movie theater in the U.S. They did a great with the place. Easy going vibe that’s relaxing and enjoyable.
