While staying at Thousand Trails we decided to go out and get some ice cream. As we were walking in Dairy Queen we saw Tropical Dreams across the street and decided to give it a try. Best decision we made. Their Ice cream is amazing. The owner was behind the counter with his associate and they were both friendly and helpful. They gave us their favorite recommendations out of their large selection of handmade ice creams and offered us samples of any we wanted to try. They also had a large selection of sorbets which was awesome since my wife is lactose intolerant. My wife got the pomegranate sorbet which she said was tart and refreshing. I ended up getting a chocolate macadamia nut and sweet cream shake, and I have to say, nothing Dairy Queen offers stands a chance against Tropical Dreams. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back in the future.

Second time here and had a much more pleasant experience. The owner was behind the counter and was super friendly! He was excited to offer us a tasting of the different flavors, and upon asking, he informed us that all flavors were gluten free except the ones that contained chocolate because they contain barley. The chocolate hazelnut is the only exception. I would highly recommend the toasted coconut and key lime yogurt. My husband enjoyed the toasted coconut and kona coffee toffee. This is the perfect place to catch a little piece of Hawaii.

Located across the street from Dairy Queen, which is the Dairy Serf by comparison, Tropical Dreams is a mirage that I hallucinated after hiking through the desert with too little water. It only«exists» all over Hawaii, save for one in San Diego and one in Cottonwood. Not only is there an unbelievable selection, but the quality makes each ice cream taste as good as it sounds *gasp.* With so many awesome flavors, like passionfruit cremolata, green tea sans bitter matcha, Hawaiian rocky road with dark chocolate & macadamia nuts, Kona coffee toffee, key lime yogurt, and white chocolate mint chip, there’s no way this place is actually real. Plus, homemade waffle cones and a fresh pot of amazing(cream, thanks) coffee at 7:30 p.m. Not to mention, friendly service right up until closing time? I’ve never wanted to try every flavor in an establishment before, but now I just wish I’d indulged harder when I had the chance. My imagination gets the better of me sometimes, but if this place does exist, I recommend you go there five minutes ago.

We promised the kids ice cream after hiking Devil’s Bridge. And found Tropical Dreams. Great flavor options(we love coconut) and plain old chocolate as well for my picky eater. I love that they offer a small size for the kiddos — no need to ruin their dinner appetite with anything bigger! Fresh, tropical décor. Resonable prices and free wifi. Highly recommend if you’re in the area looking for a treat.

I’ve mentioned in other reviews that I’m an ice cream fanatic, so I’m always looking for new places. On a pre Thanksgiving road trip through AZ, I found a new source of frozen perfection at this place. Tropical Dreams has some great flavors. The Chocolate Mac Nut was rich and crunchy, the Pistachio sublime with lots of nuts, the toasted coconut was delish. The place itself is in a little strip mall but once you get inside, it is super clean and fresh looking with Hawaiian beach themed décor. Highly recommend you check it out when in Sedona or Jerome area.

We visited Topical Dreams while on vacation in Sedona. It is a beautiful ice cream shop. It makes you feel like your in Hawaii. The ice cream was fabulous. Our favorite was the toasted coconut. All the ice cream is made fresh on site, you call tell the difference between the regular stuff and Tropical Dreams.
