Granted it’s a small town grocery store which services a small local population and then the inevitable explosion of tourists and weekenders during the holidays and summer. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. You can get gas 24 hours a day. They make delicious biscuits for breakfast every morning with your choice of bacon sausage, country ham, or baloney. They also have really good cheeseburgers and fried chicken. And they have a homemade chicken salad that is one of my favorites! One of the best things about this little store is their meat selelction! Ahh, those steaks! Yum. They have their own butcher and he never disappoints. And they have a pretty sizable beer cave with a wonderfully diverse selection. It really is the epicenter of the Pickwick/Counce community.

If you’re close to the Pickwick Supermarket, you’re not close to any other supermarket, which would be the reason it’s so convenient. I’ve been going to this place since I was like zero, and it’s as nostalgic as a store can be, I suppose. They have literally everything in this little place. I don’t know how they cram it all in. Wide variety of groceries, excellent meat, household items, clothes, water gear, a huge beer cave, and a make your own pixi stick station. I love this little place.

Suprisingly well stocked for a small grocery store! They’re well known for their excellent selection of high quality meat. Aside from their grocery selection, they have almost everything else you could need here including household cleaning supplies, hardware, car care items, clothing, purses, medicine, beauty supplies and a big Beer Cave! Hands down best breakfast biscuits in town — You gotta check this place out!

Pickwick Supermarket is pretty much the only place around for groceries. From the outside it looks like a tiny store but it’s much larger on the inside than it appears. They have pretty much everything you might need for a stay at the lake and more. We needed a few small nails and were pleasantly surprised to learn that they had those too. The selection is so large that the shelves are dangerously jam backed with goods. The prices are decent and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Great grocery store if your on vacation on the lake and need some items. This store has been here a very long time. Their prices are reasonable and you can find just about anything you need. Fresh produce, good service, and they offer fishing gear, shoes, t-shirts, you name it. Half the store has so many great items to choose from. They do a very good job catering to locals as well as tourist. Instead of having to drive into a larger city with a big grocery store this store is convenient with a good selection of food items as well as some cool finds. Pickwick Dam t-shirts, hats, sandals, beach towels, sun bags, you name it. Glad they are conveniently located.
