Popeye’s Chicken & Biscuits

I ordered the BBQ PO boy sandwich and ended up throwing the entire sandwich away because the chicken was spoiled. It smelled foul and tasted worse. The sad part, I called the store and they did not even care about serving bad food. Won’t be going back, don’t want to get ill from eating bad food. Businesses are bring scrutinized over this type of service now.

I’ve been here a number of times– my experience typically somewhere between three and four stars. A few weeks ago, though, I stopped in and ordered the Cajun Fish dinner. It comes with two fillet’s of fish, a side, and a drink.
Well… I received the side and drink fine enough but the entrée was completely wrong. It was small pieces of what appeared to be popcorn fish, around 10 pieces or so. I pulled back through the drive through and explained it seemed there seemed to be some sort of mix-​up, thinking this would be a total non-​issue.
I was wrong.
A quite tall and hefty man came to the window and proceeded to tell me that is in fact the Cajun fish. I let him know that I had ordered it prior to now and it was always two long, slender fillets. He told me I was wrong. I’m always super nice to service people because I’ve been in their shoes, but it was clear this guy was just lying through his teeth. I didn’t start raising my voice or anything but I welcomed him to come back to the menu boards. I asked him explain to me how a picture of two fillets at all resembles a handful of tiny pieces of battered fish. He grunted in response. I told him to give me a refund and he replied VERY rudely with «I guess I’ll just throw them away». He didn’t even proceed to refund me properly, he just handed me a five and said «Here.»
If not for all of the other times I had stopped here without incident I’d rate this place a one star. This is not the norm but it is worth noting as it was a particularly bad experience. Beyond that one employee all of the other staff have been between neutral and friendly in their demeanor (which is perfectly fine, honestly).

The Good: Red Beans and Rice, Biscuts
The Bad: Service
The Ugly: Chicken and Cleanliness.
Oh, CHECK YOUR ORDER! I have been to this location on 4 occasions odering such complicated stuff like chicken and red beans and rice,) all 4 times they screwed up my order.

Hate to admit this, but I am a sucker for their biscuits and red beans and rice.
