A rare little gem of a gift store for the woman/​girl in your life.
You’ll find nice selection of beads and bracelets from a number of companies as well as many other types of classy and special gifts like the many Vera Bradley items they sell.
Super friendly customer service always as well, if you are like me and need a little help finding just the right thing. Everything is bagged for you delightfully and cheerfully… So no wrapping. Bonus.
You get what you pay for, so spend it here, support a unique and outstanding local business and enjoy giving almost as much as she will receiving.

Shortly after moving to the area, I made the mistake of stopping into the Bead Sting because I saw it while I was out running errands with my husband and it’s always handy to know what kind of gifts I can find in the area. I was dressed in jeans and a fleece jacket because our next stop was the Home Depot and some heavy lifting would be required. I was neat and clean but clearly not fancy enough because I was looked up and down disapprovingly by whatever staff bothered to look at me and elaborately ignored by the rest.
Listen: I get that when shopping for fine jewelry, one ought to be neatly and attractively dressed. The Bead Sting is not Tiffany’s. It is a gift shop in the back of beyond with pretensions of being a high class jewelry store but no inventory to back that up. There is nothing at the Bead Sting that you can’t find in your average hospital gift shop (except the cutesy home décor — you can find that at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s). I won’t be back.

Okay, I’m upgrading to a 3 because (a) I’m feeling nice and (b) the service this morning was far superior to that I experienced last time I visited the store.
Unfortunately, the Alex and Ani selection remains very limited, and when trying to select some gifts I found myself more frustrated than productive. The store did mention that Alex and Ani is actually working with them to set up a «store within a store», i.e. better selection, etc.
My hope is that I can once again revise my rating when that happens.

The owners of this awesome shop really know what customer service is all about! As the mom of 3 busy teens, with 4 part time jobs, life is always hectic! Much to my dismay I realized I had forgotten an awesome teachers thank you gift. I quickly called the Bead Sting and was greeted by a friendly voice. When I asked what time they closed she said they had been closed for over an hour, but would be at the store for another 30 minutes or so, how long would it take me to get the? I told her I could be there in 5 minutes. When my husband and I entered the store, almost 2 hours after they had closed, we were greeted warmly as if we were the first customers of the day. She was patient, informative and far more chipper that I would be after a 14+ hour workday.
They have the largest selection of Vera Bradley I have ever seen and lots of Alex & Ani etc…
Worth a trip from anywhere in our tiny state to be treated like a long lost friend and not just a customer!
