I’m normally a beer man, but I definitely have a respect for other fermented beverages. I’ve had mead before, but I only ever indulged in the occasional sip. The overall flavor never really appealed to me. .. until I went to Greenwich Cove Meadery. Their mead is fantastic. Initially, I visited the meadery to check it out as an interesting local business. I definitely prefer to buy locally when I can. While I was there, I met Robert, who is the head mead maker. Robert poured a few selections for me. While not all of the selections suited my palate, I was totally knocked out by a couple of them. As a whole, they were fantastic. Robert definitely knows his stuff. To be honest, Robert is a true artist when it comes to making mead. His meads are beautiful. If you love mead, this should be your source.

We came here because my brother really likes mead. Although I am solidly in the beer camp, the owner keep bringing out experimental batches for me to try until I found one I really liked(the rose water one). I liked that the ingredients were locally sourced and the owner was super customer and product focused. Even much of the décor was local wood. The only drawback was this local lady who came in bought 2 jars of raw honey and prevented us from checking out for 15 minutes! So rude but what can you do? Bonus points for a brew pup.

We stopped in for a taste of the mead they had for sampling today. definitely glad we did! Nice samples, we tried, golden dragons breath,(spicy with a kick), apple pie,(our favorite!), berry crush, golden good v2, ginger bee,(honey flavored), D’s pyment, …all were good and something we had never tried before. They had offered 3 samples for $ 3.14,(pie day, lol). It also came with a sample glass with the logo on it. They also had crackers and cheese on the bar. Very cute place, I liked it, small but charming. I hope eventually they expand into something even greater. More barstools and another table, maybe comfy chairs would be better. Moreover one of the owners came out from the back and we both agreed he looked just like Bob Ross, lol, that was great for selling«happy little glasses of mead». All in all I gave them 4 stars out of 5 because the place could have used some music for an even nicer experience. I envisioned either Celtic or just something mellow. Friendly and interesting place for a taste of something sweet or spicy for your palette. Go try!

Love this place! We did the three sample and love the second one. Actually bought a gallon and finish it that night. Really good and customer service was soooooo good. Being in the car industry and working with customer. I can say this place was amazing. I’ve been telling all my customers about this place especially local customers. Will be back soon!
