Great(almost amazing) food. Slow kitchen brought it down two stars. When you have a young child an hour wait does not cut it for breakfast.

We went there a few weeks ago, come to find out they were out of most everything including salad and some sort of sandwich. The waitress asked us what we would like to drink and unfortunately they ran out of coffee. Oh, they had just enough for one more cup. I wasn’t impressed over the fact that they couldn’t make a fresh new pot of coffee for me. I mean how difficult is that for a paying customer? All I know was that we were not impressed with anything including the service or quality of food/drink. The owner needs to step this joint up a few more notches if she wants to see a rate of her return! Lastly, they don’t accept credit cards. .So don’t forget to bring cash. ugh!

Didn’t know this place existed as its small with small signage. First time here and absolutely loved it. Portions are amazing and food was perfect. Does take a little while for food to come out but well worth it. First time i have ever taken a to go box for breakfast. I can see us becoming regulars.

How long would would you wait for one omelette, one egg and cheese sandwich and two pancakes? I won’t keep you guessing… we waited over an hour. We were told pancakes take a while. We «slow cook» them so they don’t burn. Then it was the chocolate chips… they must hand craft them. We asked again, when the table that came in after us by 40 minutes got their food before we did. Horrible service. Can’t judge the food as we never got it. Don’t meet on main. Unless you have nowhere else to be.

We love this place! Small and cozy, nice atmosphere, and always excellent food. The real draw for me here is the strawberry pancakes. I can’t find them anywhere else. I like them cooked in and I get a giant, plate size pancake with sliced strawberries inside. Real strawberries, not syrup, or topping. Try them, you’ll be a fan! Oh and bring cash, no credit cards accepted.

This is a simple mom/pop operation. Excellent sandwiches made with care and good stuff. No experience with breakfast

Go here for breakfast or lunch at least once a month and have never been disappointed. There are, as shared by other reviewers, some annoying things about the place(no credit cards, long wait for food, weird décor, lack of seating, no sides with breakfast) but the food is always good. I usually get the Brian’s Omelet(beef, onions, peppers, mushrooms, cheese). The toast is also cut thick and good. The turkey club and the cheesesteak sandwich are both really good and actually come with chips, unlike the breakfast items that simply come with«fruit»(a slice of orange or strawberry or melon).

Huge disappointment. Menus were dirty coffee-stained paper. Tried to order off the menu only to be told by the waitress that«that’s not actually on the menu anymore». Got coffees — 1 regular and one decaf. Both were like kerosene. Paid for over-priced cups of coffee and bailed. Went down the street to Beebe House.

Drove 30 minutes to try this place out. Walked in 20 minutes before closing and asked to have a bagel toasted… They refused. Really? A bagel… Won’t be back.

I went to Meet Me On Main with a friend of mine while she was visiting me at school. I go to UCONN. We absolutely loved this little place. The coffee was great, the mochas were fantastic, the food was wonderful, and it was not expensive at all. The food was very filling, it had good portions, I absolutely loved it. It was one of the best little breakfast places I have ever been to. I plan to go back whenever possible and I have only told all of my friends about this place. It only accepts cash so make sure to have some, you do NOT want to miss out. It is a morning place, open from 6 – 2 Tuesday-Friday and 7 – 1 on the weekend, it is closed on Monday. It does have a lunch menu for after 10:30am. Personally I think it would be the cutest little place to take someone on a breakfast date or if you are driving through the area to check out UCONN stop by for a great breakfast.

A standard to which I’ll hold many muffins to come. Friendly service, great breads, everything made to order. Come with an appetite, and oh, did I the muffins are also wow-worthy? Egg sandwich on real, grainy bread, and the muffins, in case I forgot, they’re good too.

Quaint breakfast café back country CT. It’s right across the street from the Bidwell. Word to the wise– order just 1 pancake they are ginormous. They are also perfect! Who knew Coventry had such great lil spots?! It’s cash only and I thought it was more $$ than $. The previous Unilocalers are giving it $? No, it’s $$. Blueberry pancake and a coffee will do it! Oh and the bacon is good but comes with 4 slices. 2 would suffice…

Love this place. Try the muffins! Croissant sandwiches as well. My only complaint is their hours — Coventry needs a coffee shop that is open later and this place is perfect for it!

LOML reminds me this is the best latte outside of France every time we go for breakfast. Lots of choices but we usually settle for awesome omelets, fabulous home fries and sausage patties. If I’m feeling guilty I pick the oatmeal instead which comes in a large enough serving to keep me full for the day. The muffins are to die for and like everything else at MMOM they’re fresh and served in a timely fashion with your tea and coffee. Everything that should be hot arrives that way including toast, and for me this is very important but seems difficult for some restaurants to achieve.

I love this place. Perfect spot to treat yourself to a good hearty breakfast. It is my favorite place to go out for breakfast. The staff are nice and the service is fairly quick. Their pancakes are huge and amazing. Try the blueberry pancakes with strawberries on top(one will fill you up!) or their chai tea latte with soy milk — it’s the best chai tea latte I have ever had, ever. My husband loves their omelettes. Their lunch menu is equally as good, although we go there more often for breakfast. It’s right across from the Bidwell and if you don’t know it’s there, it’s easy to miss. Only downfall(if I had to list one) is that it is pretty small and they only have 7 – 8 tables, so beat the crowd by going early.

Connecticut seems to have too few local coffeehouses, with small tables, friendly staff, great coffee, and great food. However, Meet Me On Main fills this category perfectly! Whether stopping by for a quick breakfast or lunch, or looking to sit for awhile and read or work, this is a perfect environment. I’m not sure why another user said this place doesn’t exist, because certainly does. It’s small, right across the street from a Tavern.
