This is a great studio to both be introduced to many forms of ballroom dance and to become more expert at any form you choose. The group lessons offer diversity in dance and in students. No partner necessary since we rotate partners. Private lessons help you perfect each individual dance. The parties also give you an opportunity to practice. Great place! Excellent Teacher!

Philip is a very patient and talented instructor. He worked and was trained by the Arthur Murray Dance Studios, so he offers high-​quality dance lessons at affordable prices. Groupon lovers, check him out! He explains and differentiates the instruction to meet my needs until I get the routine. He concentrates on many aspects of dance such as hand positioning, body posture, and foot work. He is very thorough. He pushes me out of my comfort zone to be the best that I can be at dancing. Finally, his studio offers a safe and comfortable environment where students can practice their routines with the opposite sex.

Phil is a miracle worker! He helped me and my husband feel so comfortable about learning to dance for the first time in preparation for our first dance on our wedding day. He is very good at explaining and modeling every step of the way. He even records and writes out each step to help you practice the routine at home. Absolutely take lessons and classes with him!

Phil is fantastic! The Groupon was a great deal and after our first private session we couldn’t wait to return! Phil is extremely patient, very helpful, and consistently working with us to build onto our moves and perfect our posture. As a female, I was extremely comfortable in the environment and welcomed to learn more. He caters each lesson to the student and the studio is spotless, motivational, and spacious.

First of all, Phil is amazing. We had our first 40 minute private session tonight and he was very helpful. We came in not knowing what kind of dances we’d like to focus on. He was very helpful in giving us some suggestions on what we should focus on.
During our lesson, he was very attentive, pin-​pointing our mistakes and giving us pointers on how to improve. We would definitely come back!

Phil was great. My wife and I were two weeks away from Renewing our Val’s, and Phil put together a 3−½ min dance routine for us. I have no dance experience what so ever and he worked magic on me. I like this dance school, I have never danced before coming here with my boyfriend and his mom and always felt like I had 2 left feet. Phil is really patient with his students and gives great pointers. Along with the private lessons, the group lessons are just as good. He rotates all the men with the women so he will dance with u as well almost like a private lesson to help you with the right steps at your pace. Now I have a lot more fun dancing. I recommend this place for all people wanting to learn any ballroom dancing.

My now husband and I came to Citrus School of Dance (at the previous location) looking for Latin dance lessons and choreography for our upcoming wedding. We wanted to surprise our guests with a Latin number. Phillip was great from the start – he worked within our budget and our schedule. We only had certain days that would work as my husband lived in Illinois and was in town a set number of days before the wedding. We worked out a three-​lesson schedule and brought in our own music. Phillip came up with a cute cha cha choreography for us. As a teacher, he was wonderful – kind, patient, positive and very experienced. He broke down the steps in a way where my husband, who had never Latin danced a step in his life, quickly picked it up and even had a great time doing it. As we were concerned about whether three lessons would be enough, Phillip came up with the idea of videoing our last lesson so that we could watch it on our own later and practice to it before the wedding. Our dance was a great success at our wedding, but even more, my husband and I will treasure the fun memory of learning the dance together at Citrus. Thank you Citrus Dance and Phillip!
