Lou’s Glass House of Covina

Been in business for over 55 years. Two grandpas owned prior to the new owners that have been there for about 12 years or so now. One of the grandpas that’s still around. Stops by monthly to check on the owners even after all these years and makes sure everything is running okay or if they need any help with things around the shop or have questions. Must say, it was great to get a little history on this family owned business and to know that their is still good people around in this world. I just had a small order of shutter windows to be replaced for my apartment. The work was done in a few hours and exactly what I wanted. It was inexpensive and good work. I highly recommend for glass replacements for your home. Nothing fancy here. Glad to support mom and pop shops in Covina. Hope they’re around for a very long time.

Soooooo my dog broke through our front bay window trying to attack the UPS guy. This happened the Friday before Christmas. I frantically called several local businesses and was told that no one could even come out for an estimate till after the first of the year! (Enter Panic Sequence) Then I found Lou’s. I spoke to his wife on the phone and explained my dilemma. She was so understanding and told me that she’d call her husband and see if he could stop by after he finished the current job he was on. She called me back about an hour later and told me he’d be on his way to take a look. Lou showed up, took a look, and said he’d be back in the morning to replace the window! I was ecstatic. He showed up on time, and finished the job professionally and promptly. Lou and his assistant were so friendly and professional. I’m definitely keeping him on speed dial and recommending him to anyone who needs a window replaced. 10 stars for Lou’s windows!!!

the place is awesome, every-​time I had problems with my rentals they are able to help. unlike other window company’s who only wants to replace, Lou’s understand window and are able to repair everything I have brought them. Screens, locks, windows and etc. If anyone have window problem come here, they are honest and very friendly.

They replaced 2 windows for me, just the outside glass of double-​pane windows that were cracked. On the outer window, there is this white strip that seals the window. Well, on one side I had lost the strip. When they replace the glass, I noticed that they didn’t put a strip on that side that was missing. I called the guy back and he said they don’t provide the strip. I’d have to try finding and installing it myself, and to check places like Home Depot.
Well I was Ace Hardward in La Puente one day and asked the people there. A customer overheard me and said the glass people should’ve installed that for me (which is what I thought), and that the same thing happened to me and they replaced his on his windows. He said the guys even left him extra stripping material in case he needs it for later on.
I called the business back and spoke to the wife. I called back days later and she said they don’t carry that material, which is why they asked me to go to Home Depot to find out who the manufacturer is, and then try calling the manufacturer to order that strip.
I just feel like if you’re in the window business, you should have these types of accessories in hand so you could provide a full service to your customers. And not leave them scrambling to have to orders items like this that should be standard for a window business.
I still have not gotten a call back from them. It’s been over 2 months.
