I’ve lived here for 14 years and this place is like 2 mins from me, yet I just recently started going here. The best fish and shrimp tacos ever! The hubby even thinks their shrimp cocktail is better than a place we frequented in BaldwinPark for years. We always do take out, but they are fast and very friendly.

Fish tacos are the best that I’ve had anywhere, my friends from out of town always insist on eating here. Their shrimp cocktail is also very good. Its very small inside and chances are you won’t get a table on fish taco Wednesday and they recently took out the booths and put in tables, boo! But the tacos are great so just go to the park across the street and enjoy. For food I would give them 5 stars and the dining area I would give them a gets a 2. I never was good at math so I’ll average that and give them 4 stars!

Fish taco plate! Can’t go wrong especially with all the little tasty condiments you can grab from the sauce bar. Fish deep fried properly and tastes nice and fresh. I’m a big fan. Restaurant was clean and gal at the counter was friendly. Great experience today!

Fish tacos are pretty dam good. I’m from whittier and moved out here and wanted something close to taco baja and I must say these are pretty good, chilies are seasoned different but good :). I recommend this place

Just left this place and i have to say it has improved since last year. The one working the register was a little slow but that was the only problem. The fish taco was good, so was the grilled shrimp taco and the fried shrimp taco. I would say its better than Taco nazo if you are familiar with that place they are neck and neck with quality. Really good food if u want fish or shrimp tacos anything else isnt really worth it.

They no longer do their daily sales. And they charge $ 2.49 for tacos. Also, every time I order food and I open the box it’s messy. This place use to be way better. Well time to find a new place.

I’ve always passed by this place for probably like 5 years now and I’ve never bothered to try it. But today I did! I was not disappointed at all! I have never tried fish tacos before so I sadly I cannot make any comparisons but I will say it was really tasty! I will come here more often and try other things in their menu for sure. Reason for the 4 star is I wish they catered both for dine in and to-go. It seems they are more catered for people to get to-go because this place is really old and it is some need of renovations and such. But! The food is good! That was the only complaint.

Don’t know if it’s the beers talking, but they had some good comida. Had a big order, mostly shrimp and fish tacos, shrimp burritos, and a couple horchata. Seafood was fresh tasting, pico de gallo was fresh, and cabbage was crisp. Burritos were nice and plump. Service was really quick too, almost like they already knew what we were gunna order. Definitely recommend the fish or shrimp tacos

Wow! What happened to this place … Food is nothing like what it use to be! Disappointed. This place, being totally honest, was the best mexican rice for me. I have even ordered their race for family parties before too. Did a to-go order here on Halloween last Friday and I got a two hardshell taco plate and a fish taco. Man o man, did this place change so so much. Unfortunately the beans tasted very thick, dry and pasty. The rice was actually cooked well, but lacked all of the flavor they use to have. Watered down rice anyone? The hardshell tacos, well, I honestly do not know what to say but that it tasted as if they were cooked a couple days ago. The fish taco actually«tasted» the same as I remember, but had so much grease everywhere I opted out of finishing it a bite or two in. Did ownership change here?

tip: Wednesdays $ 1.29 fish tacos IMO, Bufadora is better and slightly bigger. No horchata refills. $ 1.29 fish tacos on Wednesdays which is great. Meaty pieces of fried fish, pico de gallo, some cabbage, and white sauce. salsa bar had pickled cucumber which was very unique Verde sauce was better than their roasted red sauce.

3 stars for the fish tacos($ 1.29 on Wednesdays, $ 1.89 usually) and shrimp burrito($ 6.99, lots of shrimp — cooked 2 ways), but 1 – 2 stars for the chorizo & egg breakfast burrito. Breakfast burrito was too mushy and muddled with the beans, rice, and egg — the egg flavor overpowered the rest of the flavors. Fish tacos were nice and crunchy, but not as «fresh» as some other places. If I were to get the shrimp burrito again, I would get it with no beans, and possibly no rice either… or just get a shrimp taco, haha. One complaint(and this is a petty complaint) is that they don’t offer free chips & salsa! It was about $ 2 – 3 for a small basket of chips. But oh well, not enough to change the overall rating.

FISHTACOSAREREALLYGOOD BIGPIECEOFFRIEDFISHANDITSTAYSNICE N CRISP! ITSREALLYTHICKANDTASTY. I went on A Wednesday when they are only $ 1.29 each. It’s totally worth the price. At tacos baja on Route 66 they have small tiny tacos on Wednesday and Sunday for $ 1 but I rather stick to señor baja. This place is missing a star because they didn’t have any chills! NOCHILIS! … Lol you gotta have a chili with your tacos! WEDNESDAY: $ 1.29 fish tacos REGULARPRICE $ 1.89

Amazing fish tacos! They’re fresh and crispy. There’s the perfect amount of crema, salsa, and cabbage and whatever else they have on there. Although I’m kind of spoiled by la bufadoras dollar fish tacos on both Wednesdays and Sundays, senior fish is a very good contender if it weren’t so far from me. At a whopping $ 1.89 or something like that, you can get 2 tacos at Bufadora! We also came on a Saturday where it was $ 1 tostadas, so I has a al pastor one. It was crispy, flavorful, and topped with both cheese and crema! So good ! I wish I ordered 3! I want to come back for the dollar shrimp tacos which sound amazing. I also dig the spicy cucumbers served at the salsa bar. No restrooms to be found in the restaurant? But they did have hand sanitizer. I was looking for one after coming back from the Garcia Trail to wash my hands before I chomped down on my fish tacos.

Wednesday Fish Tacos now $ 1.29 each(verified 10/30/2013). Regular price $ 1.89. These are solid and tasty delicious fried fish tacos and consistent with their Upland location I used to frequent. Each taco comes with two tortillas and if you are careful you can make two tacos or you might ruin it and end up with one taco with a hole in the middle. Be sure to stock up at the condiment bar. I find the plastic baggies hold best(unless it’s salsa). If you want the grilled chili peppers be sure to ask the person working at the front(they don’t put these by the condiments). I like my taco with the pickled onions, grilled jalapeño, red salsa, lots of lime and a single slice of radish.
