Doug and his employees have been great to deal with! I have bought a w/​d set from them and also a refrigerator. Doug and his employees are the reason I love to shop local vs big box stores.
He went above and beyond on our recent purchase of the refrigerator. We had just moved into our new house and needed a smaller fridge that want we currently had. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and without hesitation Tyler his employee told me we could have it as soon as Sunday. A big box told me it would take 7 – 10 days before we could have that same model he had and his was about $ 700 cheaper than the big box store.
The purchase before that was our washer and dryer. I was at work during my very busy time of the year, when my wife called and told me our washer had died. She told me she had heard great things about American appliance, I told her she should check them out but I wanted to research the purchase. She went down spoke to Doug and got some info. Doug was actually nice enough to call me and answer all my questions I had to feel comfortable about the purchase. Doug made sure we had our washer and dryer that same evening so my wife wouldn’t have laundry stack up. I’m pretty sure a big box wouldn’t do that.
I will recommend American appliance to all my friends and family.

We were in desperate need of a new washer and dryer but were on a budget, so decided to buy a used set.
I went in 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday to buy a set. Doug was very knowledgeable and helpful about all the sets he had in stock. He was respectful of my budget and didn’t pressure me in the least.
He clearly explained the process he goes through for refurbishing used machines and assured me that I would be getting a quality used set.
I made my choice and then asked about delivery. He was very honest in telling me that he uses a service that I might feel is expensive so I asked if he was open on Sunday so I could arrange to pick up the set. Without blinking an eye he told me he was closed but that he would be happy to meet me at the store anyway so I could get them home this weekend. He also told me to bring in my old junker set and he would recycle it for me!
Sunday we showed up with the old set, bought the new/​used set and his son even loaded them into our van!
We had a concern about the dryer door and Doug immediately said, if it doesn’t fit to give him a call and he would gladly exchange the dryer for one with a different door style.
I’m happy to say, the dryer fit and both the washer and dryer work great! This is exactly why it pays to shop local! Doug and his family were so accommodating and nice.
When I am ready to buy new, I won’t hesitate to go to American Appliance. What a great place!
