I cannot say enough about how much I love this place. My daughter has taken several classes and just completed a full week of art camp this week. Chad, Judy, and Julia are outstanding with the kids. My daughter is currently taking Judy’s cooking class and has made so many different types of food and has even finally eaten vegetables while making the yummy dishes. This is such an amazing and special place.

Great center promoting arts and culture! My girls have taken classes and gone to day camp here from ages 6 – 10 and they’ve gotten a tremendous amount from it. Terrific instructors and wonderful part of the community.

Baker Hunt is it a unique feature in Covington. It’s been around for many years, and is a nice green space for the city of Covington.
The class is offered here are pretty diverse. The classes that we have taken advantage of so far are art classes for our son. His current teacher is knowledgeable, is well resourced, and has a good plan to help the kids explore many different styles of art. Well we are not finished with this semester’s class, my son always returns home with stories to tellus about his art, and new ideas to sharewith his siblings.
I’ve seen advertisements for classes on renovating old houses, and adult classes seem to be plentiful. As far as children’s classes go, the cooking class is by far the most popular, so be sure to sign up for that one as soon as you can when it’s offered. We may look into taking a class on pottery, which is offered pretty much every semester from what I can tell.

The Baker-​Hunt house has been a staple of Covington since 1854. Margaretta Baker-​Hunt resided in the house her entire life, and upon becoming a widow, created the foundation to promote the study of art, education and science in Northern Kentucky.
The home became a gathering place for many societies and evolved into a natural history museum in the late 1920s. An art education studio was added in 1967 and is still used today to teach classes for children and adults.
Some of the programs include: cooking, belly dancing, writing, photography, architecture, yoga, and ballroom dance. Classes average between $ 60 — $ 120 for a 10 week course. The experience is great for adults looking to enrich their lives or children desiring an extracurricular art activity.
In addition, the Baker-​Hunt home is filled with artifacts and furniture from Margaretta’s collection during the 1850s. Everything has been preserved immaculately. Patrons can see all sorts of items inducing old photography cameras, to silver sets, to dresses worn at funerals.
Rumor has it there are some residual hauntings here as well, including the presences of a young boy and a woman.
