We love this place! They have a great buffet and the atmosphere is so friendly and comfortable. They have very good choices on their buffet or you can order off the menu. We eat here on a regular basis. Especially love their meatloaf and fried chicken!

Very mediocre at best. The menu looked old and the buffet was not much to look at. So I decided to order from the menu. I ordered the Memphis ribs. The presentation was horrible and the taste was nothing special. To be so close to Memphis and sever ribs like that is just wrong.

The club sandwich was amazing, the lunch buffet had a ton of options and the service was fantastic.

I’m really not a fan of the buffet. But when they grill out on the lot, I always stop by. 5. Their Bbq Bologna, smoked sausage, and bbq sandwich is definitely the best around. If you see the grill smoking and the tent set up outside, do your self a favor and find a parking spot. Because delicious bbq is right there waiting on you. They also have a nice gift shop with antiques and civil war items. It’s a down home southern restaurant. So don’t be «offended» by the pictures of confederate generals. It’s Tennessee for crying out loud. It’s part of our history.

Was headed to a Japanese restaurant, but it was closed so we stopped off here. I read the reviews and wanted to try thr place for myself. The food was OK, but the sauce is vinegar based, that is good. The staff are friendly, but I did not care for the overall experience. Thanks for the history lesson, but no thanks. Never coming back as I find the gift shop highly offensive.

Seafood buffet was disappointing! The boiled shrimp were over cooked, frog legs were cold and catfish was average. All the fried sides, onion rings, okra, etc came from a bag out of the freezer. Fake crab in the pasta and crab cakes. Dessert was pudding from a box. For $ 15 it was very disappointing

It’s extremely mediocre. People brag about how nice it is, but there’s nothing special. I wouldn’t recline spending money here because it’s a waste. The worst mistake we made was going on a Sunday. On Sundays you are forced to eat off the buffet, and it is absolutely horrible.

Hubby and I went for a Friday evening buffet. Delicious! We are Covington natives and were there visiting relatives. The buffet had everything u could think of: fried fish, roast, shrimp, salad, beans, etc, etc. The spaghetti was excellent! I’m a bread fanatic, so I was happy to see the rolls were hot and slightly sweet. It was worth the price of $ 12 for the buffet to get a sample of everything instead of paying $ 10 – 12 for one entrée. Cooks in the kitchen are ON it. Servers also friendly. My only problem was dessert. I only saw pudding and a few slices of cake that looked like it had been out for lunch. No thanks to that. I will definitely be eating here next time I roll into town. I live in a city where restaurants CLAIM«down home southern cooking», but always fail to deliver. It was so nice to visit a restaurant that lived up to that claim.

Updating because I think I had a bad experience. Gave them a second chance and i was pretty good. By far not the best and not worth $ 10 but still not the worst I’ve ever been to.

I can echo the«too much to specialize» sentiment. This seems to be a problem with the restaurants in Covington, perhaps because you can’t get niche in a smaller city. Barbecue was okay. It was dry and lacked any true flavor. My fries had been sitting beneath the heat lamp for too long: floppy and pasty. The rolls were Sister Schubert’s, found in your friend freezer. I ate them in high school. Bleck. Service was mediocre. Don’t go.

Very average. Too many things on the menu to actually specialize in anything. Big place… was actually a drug store before the remodel. Waitress was super sweet but only 2 days on the job. Pork sandwich was pretty good. Salad bar was very disappointing. Peanut butter pie was tasty.
