I called the owner in June 2015 and she said that Blueberry Hill is now CLOSEDTOTHEPUBLIC. I felt bad — sounds like she has had a lot of trouble getting the word out that its closed since it is on virtually every pick-your-own guide website. Just wanted to post this to help her out! She seemed like a very nice lady!

Unless you have small children, Blueberry Hill is probably not what you are looking for on a Saturday morning. However, if you do(have the small kids), I highly recommend. Located in the Covington/Conyers border zone where the(now in their 20’s) lost children of Rockdale County(long story if you don’t get the reference) still cruise the strip malls — this small pick-your-own blueberry patch serves as entertainment and, dare I say, appreciation for where food comes from to sugar crazed preschoolers. A few of the neighborhood dads and myself carted our offspring to the hinterlands this past weekend to let said fruit of loins pick some berries. As the owner does not use any pesticides, the berries are safe to each right off the bush — a good thing if you have a pack of 2 and 3 year olds. When we arrived, we found that the patch was actually closed due to excessive picking the previous week — but the owner didn’t have the heart to turn away the little tykes, so the kids were allowed to pick all of the ripe blueberries they could find. Who knew searching for the little blue orbs in a sea of pink unripened fruit could be so much fun? The kids had a blast(imagine a hunt for miniature sugary Easter eggs) and we parents were grateful for the nap inducing crash(the kids ate a decent portion of what they picked) that happened 1 hour later. Oh, the owner only charged us 5 bucks for all that we picked because he felt poorly about the status of the patch. Nice guy.
