Covington Diner

My husband found a hair in his egg yesterday. The waitress was very friendly, and since he was only 2 bites into his meal she said she would make sure they got it taken care of. As all of our appetites were gone, we waited for our check. they took care of it by taking $ 4 off the price of his meal. Not quite what we were expecting, but we just wanted to get out of there so I went to the counter to pay. I realized my wallet was in my car, to which the woman replied «Oh, you dont have any money?» Um really? My husband was right there with his wallet and of course we paid. As I was paying, a friend of someone working was making smart comments about finding hair on her. Unbelievable. And unprofessional. After I handed the woman the signed copy, she then inspected the reciept. She said she was just seeing what table we were at, but it was a bit rude. She was obviously looking for a tip. Which I sure did leave my waitress, she was very kind and it wasnt her fault the hair was there. I will not be returning.

Nice diner, good food and good service. The selection of food on the menu is extensive and able to fit anyone’s needs: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, have a chinese menu, along with a few local Hawaiian items that I want to try my next time back. Found out the new owner is from Hawaii. I’m hoping this will be my Hawaii fix. The food was great and the portions massive. Can’t wait to go back!
