Cucci’s is the talk of the town! I was in Covington visiting family and was told that I had to get some Cucci’s before leaving. Delicious food and great atmosphere! I had the mushroom steak sandwich and the lasagna. Both were 5⁄5. The lasagna came with one free trip to the salad bar and free bread. The bread is made fresh at Cucci’s and tastes incredible. I could eat the bread all day. The owner of the restaurant likes to visit the tables and talk to clients! Not only is the food delicious, the prices are very reasonable. Sandwich with chips=$ 6.05. Lasagna with salad bar with bread=$ 11.25 Cucci’s lived up to the hype!

Amazing everytime! Love the calzones aka turnovers and subs. I know once I move out of town this will be the only place I’ll miss but plan to come back home to visit and get my cucci fix.

Did an awesome job accommodating my parents and me. We were looking for a place that would serve no onion/no garlic dishes. Friendly, attentive staff. Huge portion sizes and a relaxing ambience. Two thumbs up!

Another great trip to Cuccis. Another great turnover and great service. There’s no reason not to stop at Cuccis when traveling through the area.

Covington was just a short stop for us on our way up to Boston and after looking over reviews we felt we had to eat at Cucci’s(our hotel was also down the road). Everything was amazing. The atmosphere, the food, and our server Lisa, were all fantastic. Everything is made to order and just YUM! I had a turnover(their version of a calzone) and my boyfriend had a Sicilian(deep-dish) style pizza and we shared garlic bread sticks. We couldn’t eat anything else BUT we did get a slice of chocolate cake to go. That was the way to go. It was a great choice and we definitely recommend it!

I have been meaning to get a review down for this place as it is the jewel of my home town Covington. I have had a lot of pizza in my life even had it in Italy but this place sticks out as the best of the best. They are run by a local family that has been in the pizza business since they were young. During the last two weeks I have had the pleasure of having two of their specialties: their Sicilian pizza and their Turnover. A Sicilian has a thick buttery crust that they compliment with their signature sauce. The Turnover is pretty much a Calzone which I prefer to cover in sauce. They tend to not skimp on ingredients which makes them a bargain for the price you get them for. If you are a local or just passing through on the way to places bigger and better I would recommend this place.

We stumbled upon this gem on our way to Lynchburg. This is a great family restaurant with great service. The pizza was delicious and the salad bar had everything you would want. When we are in the area again, we will be sure to eat there,

Cucci’s is basically a family owned version of Pizza Hut. The sauce is run of the mill, the crust unremarkable and the toppings bland. The clientele is about the same you’d find in an iHop — older folks and kids. And it’s expensive! $ 2.25 for unsweetened tea with one refill? That is insane. At least the cups are big.

This place was surprising because the parking lot was full. I wouldn’t have thought there were that many people in the town. My husband and I shared the fresh lasagna. It came with the salad bar. We had wine as well. We were both full and the price was about $ 25 complete. I guess the crowd is reflective of the popularity. Try it!

Great little pizza joint in small town. Friendly service. Pizza a bit soggy crust but the sauce was so fresh and light. And very happy to see anchovies as the standard on the Cucci Special. Yum

Great calzones because the pocket of the calzone is thin and not thick(if that’s how you like calzones)! Nice atmosphere, and great variety on the menu.

First of all, Covington is my hometown, granted I moved away when I was 2 years old, but I still have family in the area. For as long as I can remember we would go to Cucci’s at least once a trip, and this tradition has continued as I’ve become my own man. That being said, I’ve never had a bad meal here, even as my tastes have evolved over the years. Though I do recommend the mini Cucci Special, that being my favorite item off the menue. Of course, the pizza is also good stuff, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the spaghetti once I ventured away from ordering the aforementioned turnover. Staff is always super friendly and very accommodating and it wouldn’t be a trip to Cucci’s without seeing the kindhearted owner himself and asking how Italian soccer is doing. My only complaint? That I’m a three and a half hour drive away from this goodness!

when everyone in a small town recommend a place to you: it can only go two ways — Either it actually is one of the best places you ever been, or it’s just the simple fact that it’s the best place ‘in town’. the latter doesn’t really mean it’s going to be good. Been here a lot, as I said. Covington is a small town. Talked to the owner as well. Even had his special recommended philly cheese-steak. everything is good, A-ok, but 2 things to take note off — it’s not really THAT great of a place. second — it gets boring really quick. my assumption — they have their highly recommended pizza sauce — and they basically fit it in almost every possible dish they have. and assume that use it.(Well I dont like pizza sauce on my cheese steak.) and that sauce is also ‘okay’ and not great. their garlic bread IS fantastic though. I have a few colleagues who have really bad names for this particular establishment — and it’s justified. while other’s swear by it, and I can see why Last words — if you’re in these parts and want pizza — come here to try. you might like it. or might never come back here again. — you don’t have a lot of options here either. so go there with a smile, your attitude affects your mood(which affects experience)

Came through this town for a friend’s funeral. Covington is a small town ~5000, and everyone pretty much knew each other. When we talked about places to eat with the locals they recommended Cucci’s as the«best in town.» We arrived at 11PM on a Saturday afternoon and it was fairly crowded. It’s a seat yourself establishment. We ordered a build-your-own combination LG pizza that consisted of onions, sausage, various peppers, and anchovies. anchovies were SALTY. Other than that, the pizza wasn’t exactly the best I had — the dough was spongy, pizza was extremely greasy and service was ok. The waitress definitely came back one too many times to «check our water levels.» If I had any other alternative if probably find another place to eat.

The turnovers(Cucci’s version of a calzone) are terrific! Piping hot, stuffed with cheese and other classic adornments and boasting a tender, flavorful doughy shell. These gems also provide an exceptional value: they are BIG so order the smaller size, even if you have a fairly hearty appetite, unless splitting with a dining companion or you really enjoy leftovers! As others have mentioned, the red marinara type sauce which accompanies the turnover is terrific and the server will gladly package an extra to go cup of it if requested. A great neighborhood restaurant with friendly service and a warm smile for all.

Cucci’s is a local favorite and everyone in Covington knows and loves this place. My sister took the fam here for some dinner tonight. She called ahead and had a table reserved for our party of 7. The staff were super friendly and accommodating for our generally annoying group. Whenever we patronize an Italian restaurant we refer to Parmesan as «sprinkle cheese» and other such annoyances. I, of course had to get the server to explain everything that said«Cucci special» on it, just because I thought it sounded funny. Our server never flinched. We ordered an assortment of menu items and everyone enjoyed their meals. I feasted on the spaghetti with meat sauce which came with the salad bar and fresh baked bread. I was a little sad when I learned the bread was not«garlic buttered», but quickly forgot about this when the tasty freshly baked bread baskets arrived. I personally devoured a loaf on my own.(This place serves their bread with real butter — good sign.) The menu featured their house dressing, so I had to get some salad just to try it out. The salad dressing was vinegar based, and I LOVE vinegar, yet I found it just too vinegary for my taste. Puckerville! My sister commented that I was«smacking my lips like granny» and I told her the dressing was so tart I could not help it! The spaghetti with meat sauce was tasty and had good flavor. I enjoyed the sauce and continued to dip more bread into it as I enjoyed the dish. One sister ordered the«Cucci special» turnover which is really a calzone, but it was plated in a moat of tomato sauce and she found the uncooked contents of the turnover to churn the stomach. The other sister ordered the eggplant parm, and enjoyed every tasty morsel. No complaints here. The décor is original from the day the doors opened, but it kind of adds to the charm. The poster over our table featured two people from the 80’s wearing their roller skates, headbands, and fancy jogging gear. Funny for a sketti joint.
