Devou Village

I had the displeasure of living here and dealing with their «management.» They are a joke– rude, inhospitable, and bitter. The pool hours are laughable, as they are only open when the office is open and you had to leave 15 minutes before the office closed so «they can leave on time”– that is what we were actually told. So the paying tenants have to cater to the employees? They aren’t lifeguards, so how can it possibly matter if we are there when they aren’t? Oh, and it was closed all day one day a week because… who knows. You had to mail in your rent check instead of dropping it off at the office. I guess that meant not having to see all the sourpusses every month, but still. Inconvenient.
If you’re desperate and need a cheap place to live you can check this place out but be warned– there are a host of unreasonable rules and unpleasant people to deal with. Good luck!

Only gets two stars because of great price and location. Gayle is by far the worst property manager I have ever rented from. She is rude, condescending, and disrespectful. I honestly have no idea how she still has her job. If it weren’t for how much money I’ve been able to save while living here, I would be long gone. Look at the other Devou Village Reviews online. They speak for themselves.

I’ve lived at many, many different apartment complexes over the past 10 years or so. Management at Devou Village is definitely the most rude, unreasonable group of people I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They treat their tenants with such utter disrespect, and this is constant. Read the other negative reviews because they’re accurate. Stay away from this place for your own sake.

The estate agent; Kathy is great to work with. Easy to get along with and understanding. I love the amenities; pool, racquetball, a fitness room in the rec center … Surrounded by a beautiful scenery and park, Devou park. I would suggest others to look into renting an apartment here. I certainly love the security here, you need a key for each door you enter. Very secure.
