Visited before and loved it. Tried to go today and mysteriously closed, see from these reviews that it’s closed til Feb. Wish that would have been on the website!!!

Excellent latte. Nice small converted house that is very clean and has a cozy. Upscale by most coffee shop standards but the coffees are very cheap. Had the breakfast of Swedish scrambled eggs and apple cinnamon muffins. Very well prepared and tasty. May not be the healthiest but was excellent.

Fika Hus is off the beaten path, but well worth the trip! They are only open on the weekends so plan for a nice weekend breakfast. The best part is the Swedish pastries and light bites. The fika pastry was great with a cup of coffee from Deeper Roots. They have a quiet front room and a hidden back patio. The staff could not be nicer, you feel like they are having you over to their house for coffee. Seriously, block out some time this weekend for a relaxing morning here.

We came here for a Sunday afternoon brunch with the family. I noticed they changed their business hours. They’re now open Fridays-Sundays. There’s something about this place. It seems so peaceful. Maybe it’s the artwork/photography and the new age music, or maybe because they weren’t too busy when we were there. Although, they had a steady flow of couples coming in for coffee, pastries and others while we were there. We were a party of four and had a variety of orders — I had the scramble eggs, one son had the lax bagel, the other son had the Swedish meatball meal and my wife had a Fika Hus special which was their hard bread samplers, Swedish pastry and fruit. She had one bread with lax and the other with Havarti cheese with orange marmalade. I loved the scramble eggs although I wish they gave me more bread. My sons loved their orders. They each gave them a thumbs up. And my wife really enjoyed her samplers, she said they were really, really good. We truly had a nice enjoyable and peaceful breakfast. I can see myself coming back to Fika Hus. We should support this Mom and Pop Café in Covington. Highly recommended.

We are so glad to have another place to get breakfast or lunch that is walkable to Mainstrasse. Delicious Swedish style scrambled eggs with dill and cheese. Yummy with a side of chewy grilled toast and fresh fruit. My boyfriend had this lovely open-faced cheese flatbread with just a hint of sweet marmalade… yum. Iced coffee was delicious. The owners are very nice and friendly. Peaceful interior made me want to curl up with a book and more coffee :)

So glad to have this coffee shop in the Westside. Ordered the lax bagel, some cookies, and a latte and all were great. There are a few tables inside to sit as well as out back. Will definitely be back!

Fika is a great spot for some good coffee, food and beer! I had the southwest turkey wrap and it was awesome– I loved it! Also really enjoyed the Swedish pastries. Sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee or grab a beer– it’s a great local coffee shop!

Best. Eggs. Ever. Luscious scrambled eggs with a touch of dill and cream cheese. Simple, but outstanding. Fantastic service, decadent pastries, relaxed atmosphere. Fika is an immediate and permanent favorite.

This is a gem not to be missed. We stopped in for afternoon coffee after reading about it in the Enquirer this weekend. Found out the café has only been open less than two months. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a selection of contemporary and classic novels. We enjoyed an iced latte and the dessert sampler plate. What a wonderful establishment to experience homemade Swedish pastries! Each one had a unique taste and texture. We need to come back for breakfast or lunch soon.

Just stopped by today! Had an amazing iced latte. Owner has really cool comtemporary sheek space with his photography posted on the inside. Right off 75 with convenient street parking on the side near the dry cleaners. Highly recommend!

Pretty good coffee and Swedish treats. It’s one of the few coffee shops in the area that is open in the afternoons. Great study spot.

Adorable! Fika is off the beaten path in Covington and still getting the word out– go support them! They are just a block or so down from Wunderbar, another Covington gem. Deeper Roots coffee, lunch menu, and delicious pastries. We had the fortune of getting samples at our office and it is all great. The house is beautifully renovated and the back yard patio area is lovely. Great place to meet with friends for beers or coffee, read or do some light work, or just enjoy some good weather over lunch! Right now, only open Thursday-Saturday, but hopefully will expand hours soon.

Fika Hus is a reason to step away from your usual MainStrasse coffee and dining choices. The Swedish theme is unique and refreshing given the proximity of the former Bavarian brewery and many other German themed establishments. It has a great atmosphere both inside and out on the back patio area. The fire pit looks like a relaxing place to sit with friends over beers, which are mostly local craft brewers and sold by the can there. The coffee is also from a Cincinnati based company. I had a cappuccino on a few of my visits and found it to be excellent. Fika Hus is a welcome addition to the area’s dining options.

My husband brought me some treats from this new coffee house in Covington. It’s Swedish themed, and a lot of the food and desserts are based on that heritage. I tried the dammsurage, a pastry filled with crushed cookie, cocoa and rum-covered almond paste, and dipped in dark chocolate. I was glad he brought me two! Delicious. My husband had a latte that he said was one of the best he’s ever had. He said he always puts a little sugar in his lattes but this was so smooth he said he could have drank it without sugar. I’m looking forward to trying the Swedish meatballs. They also serve local beers. The coffee is local, too.
