Yes! This is some mighty good food! My wife loved the ceviche. Then we all got tacos. I asked for some really hot sauce and they busted out the trinidad moriga scorpion pepper sauce. Hell yes, one of my favorite super hots. I got the habanero tacos which were delicious with liberally applied sauce, my wife got the lechon tacos which she enjoyed in a similar manner. All the sides were great as well. I requested the esQuites! Bomb diggity! The tortilla soup, and refried black beans and rice were all on point! Our friend got queso and fish tacos. Both which she thought were great. I also had their handmade top shelf margarita. Which was about one of the best Margys I’ve ever had. My wife insists we return before leaving town.

Ate her last Friday night. Place was packed at 7 but by 7:30 empty! Everyone must have showed up for happy hour. Had the tacos el pastor with mango salsa aounded wonderful evening but was very dry and not appealing. Also had the shredded beef and was like moush. Would not recommend. Date had fish with coleslaw ra is and they were much better. Service was good staff was very friendly. Unfortunately would not recommend.

So disappointed today. We arrived with a toddler said we need a table for 5 and a high chair. The high chair never came so we got it ourselves. No changing table. They’ve changed their menu, totally different beans this time. Just ok. Service was slow…

REAL Mexican food! So delicious and flavorful. Sweet wait staff, great margaritas. A lot of fishes come with corn tortillas instead of flour. Very unique taco options and really good soup!

This is the best Mexican restaurant that I have found in SE Louisiana. The fajita style tacos were soo good and the margarita my wife had was out of this world.

Their margaritas and tacos are absolutely delicious — try the carnitas taco with chicharron, it’s to die for. Easily the best Mexican restaurant on the Northshore and the best tacos outside of Rum House.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I’m a big fan of the Pollo Diablo and they have a cool selection of tacos. Everything is presented nicely as well. Their salsa is the best I’ve had as well

We traveled from new orleans to eat here. The food is great, the menu has some unique twists on typical mexican food. The prices are a bit high but you get great quality and the portion was better than most taco places. Lover of ceviche, we never pass it up on the menu. It wasn’t great, I could pass next time. A bit too sour, and I wish it had more pico. Fish and shrimp taco were nice and stuffed and well seasoned, but again, a bit overpriced at $ 4.25EACH. A fish taco plate is $ 17. The beans were the star. So so flavorful. I could come back and just eat a bowl of beans and have a margarita. The margaritas were one of the best I’ve had in the new orleans area. I hate the super sweet or super sour artificial taste of most margaritas. This margarita was neither. I got the guava and it was delicious and it packed a punch. Overall I’m a fan. Lower prices are it would be 5 stars. TIP: Same owners as Rosa Mezcal in new orleans.

The food is fresh and amazing. I’m usually not a fan of tortilla soup but it was superb. Excellent broth! Great flavors from appetizer to signature tacos. Atmosphere is nice. Service was good. I will definitely be back. Great place to have lunch and shop on Hwy 21.

Ok, I am not disappointed. Read TF review and totally agree. The delicate texture of the fried foods accompanied by spicy salsa is Devine. Shredded chicken is lean and tender. I measure Mexican fare by the chicken tortilla soup, again, I use delicate as my best adjective and flavorful. The flavor of the broth is subtle but satisfying.

Excellent tacos and ceviches! The draft Pacifico goes very nice with fish. Best Mexican restaurant in the North shore. They have a great variety of salsas, from mild chipotle to super hot scorpion.

This place has some good food. We were searching for something quick and good and this place satisfied both needs. Don’t let the portion size fool you, the dishes are pretty filling. My colleagues and I ordered the Laguneros, Apache, and Carne Asada. All delicious!

This place is all things yes. The food is so good and the atmosphere is funky and artistic.(Think Velvet Cactus). We got the fajita style plate and they are presented so beautifully. It consists of 3 blue corn tortillas stuffed with deliciousness. We also got the steak quesadilla(for a small up charge for the steak). It was also really good and stuffed with steak and white cheese. The décor is so fun with the colorful with sugar skulls to complete the feel. The food tastes as authentic as the servers working here(who are very nice abc attentive.) This place is such a gem and I’m so glad we decided to stop in. We will definitely come back again.

My family eats at lots of non-chain/non-franchise Mexican restaurants and this one would have received a 2.5 if I was able to, but definitely below a 3. The red snapper fish tacos were good but at $ 16.95 a bit over-priced. We ordered the«large» guacamole and when the server brought out a very small bowl we assumed she made a mistake, but that was the«large» bowl. The guacamole didn’t have the look of freshly made guacamole. My kids ordered the quasadila option from the kids menu and each received one very thin quesadila and two bowls of rice. My kids were surprised to only receive one tiny veneer of a quesadila. Service was excellent but a bit disappointing overall.

I’ll keep it simple, once you’ve eaten here the rest of the Mexican restaurants in the GNOA(uh, yeah — I’ve tried them all) taste like Taco Bell! Seriously, forget Carettas with or without the«la». OMG, the shrimp tacos, nachos, salsa were so good I’ll be thinking about them until I have them again. Oh, and there is ACTUALLY alcohol in the margaritas. So tired of paying for watered down drinks at every other restaurant. We’ll be regulars when I’m craving Mexican — or shopping at Sam’s. We need more and bigger locations, closer to my house please?

Unique and edgy. This Mexican joint is certainly top on the list in terms of northshore Mexican cuisine. Went with the«habanero’s» tacos that included a blend of carne asada and chorizo. Topped with roasted onions, sour cream, and guacamole… Excellent flavors and excellent presentation. Well done!

Wow. If I had to choose one word to describe it, it’s Wow! Fresh, delicious and authentic, love the carne asada blue corn tacos, and the quest fundido with chorizo was amazing. The chicken tortilla soup was so good I had to buy a double order to bring home! While not a large place, it’s well worth it.
