Good service, better food. Pricey for the size of portions. $ 2.50 for one(1) 20 ounce Coke(no refill). Sorry, but this one hits me hard. They do a LOT of business. Big crowds all the time. I think they could afford a fountain drink setup. I would probably give 4.5 stars if they fixed that. Sweet tea was very good though.

The place is about 10 miles south if Covington. When you step in the restaurant you feel that it’s the 1970s The people are extremely nice the food is good. Had the fried chicken dinner. The place is cheap.

My husband came here as a child, so it was an amazing and nostalgic experience for him to bring our son here too. We just moved from Atlanta to Covington, and Henderson’s was something my husband could not wait to try again. We loved it! It was my first time, I ordered the bbq chicken, baked potato, green beans, and slaw with a sweet tea. Wow. Everything was great. The bbq sauce was seriously the best I’ve ever had. So good I’m going back just to order a container of it for my chicken at home! The slaw is a pickly kinda slaw, very vinegary and great. Our two year old boy couldn’t get enough of it, along with the hushpuppies! The shrimp here is amazing, but the one thing that really stands out here is the customer service. The staff is family from what I hear, and they really do an outstanding job of making you feel at home. My sweet tea was consistently refilled and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back again and again!

My family goes to Henderson’s at least once a month. DELICIOUS catfish and good food for a reasonable price. I always get the fingerlings/fillet plate and others get the whole fish. Huge, as much hushpuppies as you want and good southern sweet tea.

Henderson’s is a wonderful southern gem. It’s tucked away out of town and worth every minute of the drive to get there. The staff offers quality customer service and they know many of the local patrons by name. When you get there be sure to check for seasonal menu items such as chitterlings, fingerling catfish and more and their cole slaw is exceptional!

The compiled info on this restaurant says they don’t accept credit cards but they do. This false information probably keeps many folks away. Also, the GPS in my car said it was on the opposite side of the road from where it is. I had the Whole Catfish dinner with Slaw, Hush Puppies and French Fries. The Catfish was very good, but I should have gotten the boneless Catfish Fingers. The Cole Slaw was too vinegary for my taste, most slaw I have had has been creamy. The Hush Puppies are awesome! Not sweet like some places cook them.

5 stars because they do what they do as well as anyone can. Fried whole catfish is what they do! Hush puppies and vinegary slaw are the awesome sidekicks. Yes they have a full menu for those who will not eat seafood or catfish and some of the other stuff is great(BBQ, steak, burgers) but this place should be judged on their fried whole catfish and for that they get 5 stars. «if you know of better don’t tell me about it, take me there

My Dad took me there as a child I now have a son who takes his child there. We still go there almost every month, If you have the chance and like catfish don’t miss it, it’s great!!! . BUT be careful it’s a dangerous intersection, there are several accidents there every month you could be next. It’s really good catfish, but not good enough to die for

Henderson’s is my plan B when I’m in Georgia for catfish. Meaning, I go there when Nick’s is closed. You can get catfish strips(kind of like fingers) or whole catfish on the bone. The strips have a thicker breading, sort of like fried chicken. It’s quite tasty with some Tabasco. The hush puppies are sweet little nuggets of fried goodness. I don’t care for coleslaw in general and their’s is one of the most unusual you will ever find. Tons of pickles in it, no carrots, no mayo. The people that run the place are just as nice as pie.

I stopped in here to eat the other day as we were geocaching in a pretty rural area and didn’t know when we’d see another restaurant. It’s a family restaurant run by a really big family. The food was alright. I had a bbq sandwich and fries to play it safe but they have all you can eat catfish. It was an interesting place. There was a huge dining room so I guess it fills up during dinner and lunch.
