Best Chinese on The Northshore! Shrimp Fried Rice is to die for and their Egg Drop Soup, just delicious! The owners are soooo sweet as well! I went to pick up a to-​go order and they kindly let me try a little sample of their Hot and Sour Soup! I wish I didn’t have stomach issues and could handle spicy foods like I used to because this soup was sooooooo freaking good! They have several other soups that aren’t on the typical Chinese menu that I would like to try soon too! Their food is consistently good and dining in is always a treat! The inside is sooo pretty! I love the soft lighting and the lit up glass. Anyways if you’re looking for awesome Chinese food on The Northshore, this is the place to go!

My family was staying next door at the Holiday Inn, and we had heard the food was exceptional and decided to check it out. Upon arrival, my husband told the hostess we had 4 adults and 1 toddler. The woman proceeded to sit us at a 4 top table, and when we told her it wouldn’t be comfortable for my daughter or us, she acted indignant about moving us. She said the corner would be fine. Her tone was terrible, and then she *insisted* we only had 4 people anyway and that we didn’t need a bigger table by muttering it under her breath. Bottom line, my daughter is a PERSON and deserves her own seat. Especially if you plan on charging us for her to eat. It was such a rude and terrible exchange we immediately got up and walked out before ordering. I’ve literally never encountered anything like it before in the 3 years of my daughter’s life.

I have tried this place on several occasions. The food is not very flavorful. They messed up a to go order and said we didn’t order what we said we ordered. I am done with this place. Food and service isn’t good enough to go back again

Very disappointed in the food. I had lunch their today and it was awful. I had the Mandarin Chicken. The presentation was not good just piled on the plate in a blob. The batter on the chicken was coming off and laying all over the plate in the sauce. The fried rice was tasteless. I was with two other ladies and they said the pepper steak was tasteless as well. I must say the presentation was better than what I had. I cannot believe this place gets good reviews. I won’t be back.

Food here is delicious. I really enjoy the boneless chicken. You’ll pay a little more here but it is definitely worth it.

Undoubtedly the best Chinese on the northshore. I love the empress chicken; slightly spicy and totally delicious. The honey chicken is really great, too. Every time that we have been here the service has been on point and we’ve never waited too long for our food. I would recommend this place over ANY other restaurant on the northshore if you’re seeking Chinese. I know it’s a little pricer, but you are certainly getting what you pay for.

Took family there for birthday and they did not disappoint. We had to wait a bit and it became a bit congested, however the friendly staff made up for it. Food was fresh and flavorful.

I had the lunch beed with mixed vegetables today and thought it was excellent. The quality of the ingredients especially the beef was top notch. I will definitely be back. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals

Most enjoyable dining experience each time we go. Staff is nice, food is delicious! Always fresh and hot. Havent found anything I dont like yet. Husband loves this place. Restaurant is nicely decorated, clean and welcoming. Closed on Sundays.

A most impressive, family run restaurant, that never disappoints. Specials of the day are delicious and great value. Staff is 100 percent. I’m nuts for the sesame chicken. All phở dishes are great. A favorite.

Great food, clean restaurant, and amazing service. My girlfriend and I went for lunch today and the egg rolls were delicious along with our entrees (we both got beef and broccoli). Our glasses were never empty and the waitress earned a well deserved tip.

I had the Phở Ga with Vegetables, the best I’ve had anywhere. Great service, nice atmosphere. It’s a Gem!

I really wanted to like this place, but sadly found it underwhelming. I wanted fresh rolls but they were not on the menu. To be fair they did make them for me, saying that they only made them on request because they were too time consuming and the kitchen could not cope if they were on the menu. This was a little odd. I also ordered egg rolls and found them greasy and tasteless.
My main dish was chicken curry. This was small with a meager side of what was supposed to be shrimp fried rice, but there were no shrimp to be found. The taste was okay, but I’ve had much better and found the portion size way too small. I don’t expect to leave hungry.
All in all just average and probably won’t return.

This might be the best (and only) place in the Mandeville/​Covington area that serves Phở. I’ve been a number of times but I’ve never tried anything other than the Phở so I’m not sure how the rest of the menu fares.

Dishes with vegetables are basically tasteless. Got fried shrimp and vegetables. Not quality fried shrimp. Vegetables were cooked Ok but no real flavor to the sauce. Wife had Moo Goo Gai Pan. Same problem, good white meat but tasteless. Only way to make it better is soy sauce. No salt on tables.
For lunch the Mandarin Chicken was good

It was okay. Not for me. For years when I pass this place it seemed to always be closed. Today was Thursday lunch and I was nearby so I had to see and it was open and we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table at 12:45. Now that I’ve tried it. I can honestly say that if you want authenticity you will not get it here. As my husband puts it… this is buffet food but prearranged for you in the kitchen. Well, I guess it could have been horrible.

Except for the drive… Drove all the way from MS (coast area) to this restaurant in Covington. Worth the drive!
Food is great, prices are just right! :-).

This place has the BEST hot & sour soup I’ve ever had! My current favorite is the Empress Pork, which is like sweet and sour pork but with a kick.
I’m also a fan of their lemongrass chicken. My husband is a very picky eater and he loves their honey chicken, lemongrass chicken, and LOVES their egg rolls.
Service is always great too!
They have awesome lunch specials so you can expect a crowd at lunch.
I often call ahead and order take out. They always get my order correct and are fast.
My only complaint is that they are not open on Sundays or Mondays.
