Germantown has the best pizza in northern Ky. I just absolutely love their pizza with sauerkraut. Also love the cheese burnt around the edges. They don’t skimp on toppings. Be prepared to take some home for leftovers.

I went in for lunch on a Friday. I ordered their personal pizza lunch special. The dough was cardboard. I believe it was pre-made, commercial, frozen dough. The sauce was OK. Nothing special and most likely from a can. The store was pretty dead. The booths looked like they dated back to when the place was a Frisch’s and were really worn. I won’t be returning.

Yes, this place is a treasure in Covington. I miss the old location, but Germantowne really did need more seating, so I know why they moved. Be prepared for absolutely slow service, messy pizza sauce, and cheese that’ll sit in your intestines for weeks. But darn, it is tasty!

worst pizza ever! Taste like they order supplies from the same place as Cincinnati Public School.

I have experienced better. It was the old Germantowne Pizza. What happened? Changing the location is one thing but changing the recipe is another. I have been a customer of Germantowne Pizza since they opened on Madison in the late 70’s. Last week we happened to be working in the area and looked forward to eating Germantowne for lunch. We ordered the pizza, picked it up and then were disappointed. The once great pizza had been changed. Something was missing. I think they changed the pizza sauce. Giving the benefit of the doubt, we thought maybe it was a one time mistake and something was left out. We’ll have to see… Later in the week, while attending a nephew’s birthday party my brother shows up with two pizzas from Germantowne. Once again hoping for the once great taste of Germantowne Pizza, I was quickly disappointed. We arrive at the general consensus that they changed the pizza sauce and maybe even the crust recipe a little. I looked at my wife and told her, «I finally got Germantowne out of my system». She never ever really cared for Germantowne. She thought they used too much cheese and sauce. How can there ever bee too much cheese and sauce? Except that now the taste was gone. A personal plea to Germantowne, GOBACKTOTHEORIGINALRECIPE! You will be better off for it and so will your customers. Please reply to the post if you change back so that we can all try it again

Oh, Germantowne pizza. How much I dislike you. The pizza is a crazy mess — it’s so saucy it’s unreal. I like sauce. I do. But I don’t like their sauce(it’s watery and not well seasoned to me) and they just slather it on there. It is impossible to eat this with your hands, you have to use a knife and fork. The restaurant has moved since I have eaten in, which basically tells you it’s been years since I ate inside(it was before I met my husband… or was in college… yeah) but everytime my sister comes to town my family orders it. We don’t come over on that day. We seriously call and make sure they aren’t getting this. I am always afraid we will get there and they will decide to go get this. I can fake liking it pretty well, but my husband(who is quiet and fortunately good at hiding in his little corner at my parent’s home) can’t hide how much he hates it. The crust is okay — mostly just doused in sauce so it’s almost non-existant because it’s thin. The sauce — crust — cheese ratio is all off. The cheese is normal cheese — nothing special — and the meat the same. Those things are not bad — but they aren’t good. I have never gotten why everyone loves this place. I think I’m one of the first bad reviews. So I suppose take me with a grain of salt. Try it. Just for kicks.

I have been a loyal customer of germantowne pizza for about 15 years and they just get better and better! Weather you dine in or carryout, it is a great experience each visit! The pepperoni double topper is by far my favorite and the hoagies are out of this world!

I am a huge fan of this restaurant overall and I have been for years… The pizza sauce recipe is amazing and the dough is always fresh… I love this menu and have had most everything on it… It was my absolute favorite pizza joint, by far, for years(when they were on Madison.) It seems that since they’ve moved to the old Ashley’s location, the owners aren’t as interested in the business anymore and we often find it understaffed. Don’t get me wrong, the small staff is brilliant, but I would consider myself lucky to have such a tolerable and loyal group working for me…
