Riverfront Pizza

The setup is weird because there is a restaurant looking side that you can sit in and not have a waitress and there is a bar area where you can have a waitress. The food is mediocre at best and the atmosphere is just dive bar like. The service was slow and the waitress seemed like she was working against the kitchen staff.
Everything was really, really slow and our appetizers and lunch appeared at the same time.
Just super lame.
Also the pizza is served on a cardboard circle?

Tried to order food 20 minutes before closing and the girl refused to serve me. If u go to any other pizzeria, you can order food up until they close. The kitchen shouldn’t be closing early. The woman working the counter was rude and so was the girl working the phones. This was on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015.

I’ve lived in Covington for a few years and finally decided to give this longtime staple a go tonight. I got a steak hoagie, garlic bread w/​cheese and hot pepper cheese bites. I have to give thumbs up to all three menu items I got.
I ordered the food for carryout on my way home from work and the lady who took my order was friendly enough. I will definitely be a repeat customer as I work second shift and this gives me another tasty, inexpensive variety of food to pick up on my way home from work as opposed to the normal big box chain restaurants that get boring.

Ordered a pizza for delivery. The woman taking the order says,“it’s going to be an hour and a half to two hours. do you still want it?” Unfortunately we said yes. Two hours later… we called back. The woman is now saying the delivery driver couldn’t find the address and called and left us a message. We received no call or message and why didn’t someone call us when the driver got back to the store? They didn’t offer to send our pizza or give us a store credit or anything. Pretty terrible customer service.

They didn’t honor the BOGO offer on their website. Pizza bread was horrible and the cheese didn’t stick to it. Probably won’t be going back.

Stopped in riverfront sports bar. Bartender was nice. Greeted me as I entered. Told me about the beer specials. I ordered 10 wings and jalapeño poppers. Good bar food. Good service. Weird patrons. But I suspect the weird patrons part is because I’m not from around these parts. A hole in the wall with good wings. Me Likey.

Best hoagies around! I always get mushroom sauce, pickles and cheese. Gets a little messy so get the mushroom sauce on the side.
Love the fried pickles and jalapeño cheese bites! Pizza’s are good. I highly suggest the Mexican pizza. Service is hit or miss but we always sit in the bar area and Vicki is the sweetest! She takes care of ya and is super sweet!
Try for yourself, but this is a place that you will crave. That’s why and friend and I go almost every Monday!

It seems that a lot of people don’t like this place but I happened to have a great time! There was only one waitress for half the restaurant and she definitley held her own. WE ordered multiple beers, a hoagie and a pizza for the table. She even took time to tell us about a few of the beers we had questions about. She never seemed rushed even though you could tell she was busy. Order the pizza! It is fantastic here. I was full and I didn’t want to stop eating. This is a very casual neighborhood gem so don’t come in expecting anything but good pizza and beer!

My family has frequently enjoyed our experience at riverfront. …however, we where there today and I will never go back. We sit in the bar so my wife and I can enjoy the beer. We ordered, food cane out, we finished, got take out box, then waited for 20 minutes trying to pay. Waitress took orders all around us, people who had come in after we ordered got their food, paid and left. The guy helping in the bar even told the waitress we needed our check, it was still 15 minutes to get it. After waiting another 10 minutes to pay, I walked over to the restaurant side to pay. Wait 10 minutes there to pay. Asked for manager and was told it was the bar lady! She never came. I complained but there was no offer to make it right. We will never go back, we will take our 4 to 6 times a month somewhere else.

We have been going to Riverfront for a long time. As a former employee in Covington it was once one of our favorites… But I feel so stupid. This is the third time we have been disappointed. We drive from Price Hill in Cincinnati to Covington, spend $ 26.00 get home and realize there is no salad dressing for either salad (no extra olives either We have 20 chicken wings and NO sauces, and garlic cheese bread with no garlic. I do not like the way this feels. Before we called and relayed the story, but this is three times. This is from some long time customers. Today we are check # 75 650 saying good-​bye

Service was non-​existent. Food was ok. We walked in at 10:30pm on a Saturday per the recommendation of our hotel. We saw no employees and sat down. Apparently they were sitting at a table relaxing. We were served our water and soda in to go cups from mcdonalds. We said we needed a minute to look at the menu. 10 mins later or waitress was no where to be found. She finally appeared and was talking with some guy a another table she must have known, went and grabbed him a lighter, and then started waiting on people behind the bar. She eventually made her way back over to us. My husband ordered wings, mozz sticks, and fries and I ordered chicken parm. About 20 minutes later the other waitress brought out all of my husband’s food. It took me about 5 mins to flag our waitress down and ask where my food was (she never once checked on us the whole time). Then she finally brought out my salad. Eventually I got my food and immediately got a box to go since we already spent almost an hour there. You could tell it was all frozen food. My husband’s hot wings were just breaded wings with Frank’s red hot sauce on the side. The sauce on my chicken parm had zero flavor.

Been going here for many years. My favorite place to get a hoagie!!! If you find a better please let me know…

The employees here are extremely rude. While ordering a steak hoagie the trashy little teenage girl rolled her eyes, and seemed very irritated to take my order. When she asked what i wanted on my hoagie, I said «everything» and she quickly snapped back in a very rude tone «you have to tell me what you want on it». When I asked what my options were she said «um read the menu» when I asked where on the menu my options were, she snatched the menu from my hand and underlined the three options.
The people behind me seemed shocked at how rude she was and I’m not sure why I even handed her my money.
I also want to mention the one time last winter when they deliver a pizza to my house, there was a very long hair strung throughout

Holy hoagies! This place is a greasy, cheap, hole in the wall. And happens to have delicious hoagies. For $ 6.99 you can get the special which includes a hoagie, fries, and a drink. Score. You order at the counter and then seat yourself. It’s definitely not a «fancy» place (…I mean they serve crinkle cut fries after all). We sat on the bar side and it was rather dark and somewhat smokey. Still, the food hits the spot if you’re in need of a little grease. I have heard mixed reviews about the pizza (which is ironic as it is called Riverfront Pizza?) so I will steer clear of that. Also, vegetarians beware: there aren’t a ton of veggie options.

Food was sub par
Ordered a large order for work and they made a sandwich incorrect. When we let them know they made us being the sandwich back and did not get the order ready immediately. I had to wait another 20 minutes while they fixed their mistake.
Girl at front desk was very rude

I ordered boneless wings and garlic bread w/​cheese. The boneless wings came with the hott sauce on the side, they don’t even toss the wings in the sauce… wtf? Their garlic bread is actually a soggy ass hoagie bun… Nasty

This place is okay. I got a pie from there earlier this week and was reminded of how they put the cheese over their toppings. The crust is obviously white flour dough and man is it doughy. Bland sauce and average toppings. I had a ham hoagie just now and it was satisfying albeit a little pricey at $ 8.35 for the sandwich and a bottle of vitamin water. I keep coming though because they are consistent. You always know what you’re going to get here at Riverfront,

This was a great place to go to for late night munchies and a beer. It was right across the street from our hotel so all we had to do was walk outside and cross the street. The prices were right and kept us satisfied and the beers were decent priced. We had to go to two different counters to order food and beer though so that was a pain.

Seriously don’t even waste your time or money with this pizza. I hate saying that because I don’t like talking bad about people’s food — but this has to be the worst pizza I have ever had … and I have had a lot of different pizza from places all over. I seriously cannot think of a worse pizza.
Friday nights, my boyfriend and I normally like to venture out to different pizza places (since we are new-​ish to the area) and see what the Cincinnati area has to over. We quickly came to the realization that it’s not a very pizza-​friendly place (unless you like chain pizza, and we are NOT fans of La Rosa’s, Dominos, etc.)
I thought we should try this place and order take out, as a suggestion from one of my co-​workers. I wish we would have ordered something else from here because it was not good, nor were the toppings «fresh» like we read in some of the other reviews. We ordered the 6 topping pizza, as the lady over the phone recommended when we called to place our order. Pepperoni, green peppers, banana peppers, jalapeños, mushrooms, and black olives. After waiting almost 25 minutes after they said it would be ready, we finally got our pizza. I opened it in the car and seriously didn’t know if it was even cooked all the way! It looked as if the cheese had just started to melt and then they threw a bunch of toppings on it and boxed it up (not to mention the mushrooms were canned, not fresh) and the green peppers were so finely chopped you couldn’t even taste them!
I preheated the oven and threw the pizza in to cook a little longer as soon as we got home… took it out almost 10 minutes later. The crust was soft, which reminded me of frozen pizza. The sauce had no flavor. It was just cardboard with some toppings.
Maybe they have other food that is worth going back for, but I highly doubt I will ever be back. I wish I would have made a Kroger brand frozen pizza instead…

I LOVE this place! Since I have moved to Covington many years ago, I have not infrequently devoured their pizzas, and in particular the hot ham and cheese sub with french fries. I was dissappointed to learn today however that they do not deliver south of 16^th street.
Alas! Riverfront Pizza, why have you done this to me???
