This is my favorite Rouses store that I have been to. The reason why I think it’s so special is because they have tons of prepared meals & fresh meat & veggies & salad bar & soups to take to go. It’s the closest thing to a Whole Foods that we have around here! Love this place & visit several times a week.

Love their Bakery! Great Louisiana store! Can always find those hard to find specialty items!

I am going to be completely honest about this places. As a former employee I have to say the everyone does a good job with the customer service and pretending they love their job. But the environment is horrible. I hated every second. I couldn’t take it anymore so I just quit two months into it. The managers are really rude, they treat their employers(or at least me) like garbage. Quitting was the best thing I ever did.

I love the hometown feeling of shopping, yes, I said it… even though it’s in a large store, knowing that its Louisiana owned. The people that Rouse’s hires makes the difference. They must have a decent hiring and training program for them. I don’t like to establish shopping habits just because of the store, but this one always draws me back to them. I like saving on my shopping, and will travel a little ways to reap the benefits, but it seems that I usually come back here, and still save. Latest trip was for rice. I used to stay with the name brands until this last Thanksgiving, when the shelves got cleaned out of some staple foods. Yes, rice was one of them… and I ended up using the Rouse’s name brand rice on a suggestion from an employee. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rice. Loved the way it cooked up, and nobody had any complaints about the rice. I guess nowadays, that’s a good compliment. It does seem people will go out of their way to give a bad review or complaint, so I’ll translate the lack of complaint to this compliment :)
