I’m not a huge fan of the layout. I should be, though. Tee shots are mostly wide open, and overall distance is not overwhelming, so it’s one of the few courses around where I can score pretty well.
The course, overall, is very well-​maintained, and I give particularly high marks to the greens, which are always pristine and slick.
Particularly important to me is that the staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I’ve never had any problem with pace due to their attentiveness, too.
There are several other courses nearby that, based on golf alone, are more challenging/​interesting, but the Oaks provides the best service in the area!

Anyone visiting Georgia for the Masters should stop at this historic and fun golf course. The staff was delightful the greens were fast as could be — it is challenging without being beastly and a great value.

Smyrna, GA
I got to sit around and soak up the sun here on Saturday at a charity golf tournament while all the boys went to play a round. I thought they did an excellent job with everything. The pre-​game lunch was really good, even though it was just hamburgers and hot dogs. The blond girl behind the bar, who had just started working there a few weeeks ago, was so sweet. She took very good care of all her customers but wasnt too pushy about getting anything besides beer. I really thought they did a good job helping us out at the chrarity. Hopefully next year we will have it there again.
